@Common_SensePod I speak for the whole of Britain when I say we are in full support of Joey Barton. Justice will be served after he was attacked and defended himself. We stand with Joey in this difficult time

As you know, Joe was denied bail and is being held on remand till 7th April. We won’t be making any further comment at this time. We have full confidence that the legal process will run its course and that justice will prevail.

@MikeyCycling Does using your phone whilst cycling count as the same as driving whilst using your phone.? Either way your not in control. You are as bad as him

Why do you think it's OK to be doing paperwork whilst driving, albeit stationary? Why do you think it's OK to be watching and playing a video on your dash-mounted phone? Dash-mounted phones playing video will get you a non-endorsable fine.

Here's that video of the driver turning across my path into a petrol station, and forcing me to brake and stop. He took a driver awareness course. Solid Karma. AAAAAAhhhhahaaahahahahaha!

@PawWrobel @MikeyCycling Members of the public reporting crimes to the Police is pretty standard behave in civilised counties. You don’t agree with this?

@MikeyCycling The culture of snitching and reporting in UK always surprises me. What has largely gone away with the collapse of Soviet Union, re-emerges in UK and even voluntarily.

@MikeyCycling I’m also a keen cyclist and still think you are wrong here I would have adjusted my speed as the car indicated in plenty of time Some drivers are arseholes - as are some cyclists, the rest of us have to get along together Its incidences like this one that turn people against you

@fietsprofessor Why are all these people crossing without looking both ways and in some cases walking even though there is a car coming? This clearly isnt in the US too.

So, how is it going with that 'war on motorists'? Let's watch one zebra crossing to find out! Spoiler: it isn't a war, it is a massacre. And not ON motorists, but BY them...

@TrackGazette Do the pacing lights not count as outside assistance? Unlike the actual athlete who ran to set a pace for her? Hopefully she’ll crack the 1:53:28 soon. Deserves it, immensely likeable athlete and person.

Interesting read. And I’m a cyclist. But I’m often in London these days doing 20mph on empty roads being overtaken by cyclists late at night as I travel home. At busy times they often don’t stick to the cycle lanes as faster riders want to overtake (above 20mph again), they go through red lights & do not abide by road laws. It’s mayhem & dangerous. Why not have a registration plate for cyclists too & apply the same laws as drivers, we share the same roads after all? A bike should not offer immunity.
Cristo@cristo_radio

Last night at 10.15pm I was driving Northbound on Kennington Oval Out of nowhere, a cyclist going southbound on the 2-way cycle lane, left their lane at speed, and cut across me to join the southbound traffic lane He was *SO* close to getting hit by my car. Had I not slammed by brakes on, he’d be dead or very hurt There was no way he didn’t see me. He made a conscious choice. I beeped, but he just rode on, oblivious, whilst I was left stressed, a bit scared, and frankly furious Why didn’t he realise he’d be badly hurt, not me? Why did he put his safety at such ridiculous risk instead of stopping? Why did he just presume I’d stop in time? What if I didn’t? But more importantly, how much longer do we all need to put up with this? How much longer do drivers have to put up with constant roadworks and congestion for cycle infra which isn’t even used by so many? Put up with redesigned gridlock- creating junctions to keep cyclists ‘safe’ when many don’t even seem to care about basic road rules? Put up with the ones darting through red lights, speeding on and off pavements or through crossings leaving pedestrians having to fear for their lives? Of course there are many cyclists who are decent. But too many aren’t. And ultimately those ones lead to us to reasonably ask why any of us should care about their safety when those ones just don’t seem to? When I cycle I am SO careful. Why are so many not careful at all, and presume others reactions will keep them safe? Nothing will change of course. This post will get the usual ‘but cars…’ responses (cars are identifiable) or probable accusations this didn’t even happen. Or that it is ‘hateful’. But anyone who walks or drives in a major city knows this is all true, it’s getting worse, and really can’t go on

What I don’t get about the Lucy letby case is that there were 14 experts who, without pay, analyzed the deaths and explained exactly how they happened and why they weren’t murders. And yet you have idiots still thinking she’s guilty.

Watching the Lucy Letby documentary, I've never seen anyone at the point of their arrest look MORE innocent than she did. It's frightening to know I live in a society where I could at any moment be arrested for the murders of umpteen people I loved and cared for ALL their lives.

I’m convinced Lucy Letby didn’t do the crimes she was convicted of. The conviction was a miscarriage of justice. There’s no actual evidence to say she did it. She wasn’t the only nurse caring for these babies.

@WarksCyclist I am certainly questioning their decisions to do so. I know exactly how the system works. You, however, have missed the point. What proportion of the 34% NFA was based on cyclist reports?
