It’s faster for some things, but can’t do others. They can be used in conjunction. The MCP can use the mesh api to create models, take screenshots, test things with the player, and do a lot that Rojo can’t. Rojo is extremely good at file sync, which helps you keep a local file system. But your CLI or dev tool is running blind without the MCP.

@GenAIRoblox You are doing it completely wrong. You are literally at the tip of the iceberg. Roblox studio along with MCP is WAY too slow compared to studio with rojo. Barely anyone knows but rojo can be run inside of any CLI or codex/claude app. It’s a lot more organized and it’s 5x faster.

I have been using Claude Desktop connected to Roblox MCP + Roblox Studio for quite a while now and follow the Creator that this post is referencing. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Folks have little idea what is about to happen even though it's patently obvoius. $RBLX

Created this cool roblox effect today.. Really pleased with how the blurred/shadow looking hazed effect came out, and the ground chunk meshes sample the actual texture it's cast on so they match the ground textures to look like actual ground rubble.

It's officially called Mesh Generation API. MCP Server (Or Assistant) will use it automatically if you say "create a mesh" and make sure "Allow Http Requests" is enabled in the Experience Settings->Security
If you want to write scripts to use it, you need "Allow Mesh / Image APIs" (or "Editable Mesh / Editable Image APIs") turned on in File → Game Settings → Security.

@BloxApi @WarforgeXP @Roblox How do you use Cube or where is it at? I couldn’t see a way to turn it on in beta features, so i’m assuming it’s already in roblox studio

I've been really impressed with @Roblox Cube. I have a Claude skill that works with Roblox MCP & Cube to create these assets.
The concept art was made by Codex imagegen and is part of my pipeline process (Concept->Claude->Cube->Lua Adjustments

I have used it to create several meshes over the last few weeks, vs using external modelling/skinning tools. It's nailed everything I asked for, and has worked extremely well through my toolset/MCP Server.
The meshes have been appropriately styled and skinned (could have been pretty bad!) and is a huge time saver. Lots of coding and building talent on the team vs art talent.

In-game achievements system which automatically syncs with @Roblox Creator Studio is also being built this morning. These are the cool things that make players feel rewarded, and keep them coming back!
They take time to build manually, so automating the process is super nice.

With the approval of the new app changes, BloxxBuilder is getting extremely close to release! Will be testing the platform end to end next week with a build for @SoulWarsGG.
Over the next few weeks, we will have:
* Kitten Empire game
* StreamConnect demo game (Streamer Oasis)
* TrustConnect demo game (untitled so far)
* SoulWars game
This summer we have a new $BLOXX related product being built as well.
