#Russia’s key Baltic port of Ust-Luga resumed crude loading after days of disruptions amid multiple Ukrainian drone attacks in the region. The Jewel, an Aframax-class vessel, started a cargo loading on Saturday, according to shipping information seen by Bloomberg News. The Ukrainian goal these past several weeks is to ensure that the Russians cannot rebuild their economy from windfall profits as a result of the Gulf War. As a result, they have massively damaged Russian exports from the Gulf of Finland whilst now shifting their eyes to the Black Sea.
As well, the Ukrainians are targeting Russian refineries and chemical plants affiliated with the petrochemical industry to further damage the Russian economy, increasing CAPEX costs which will need to be invested in repairs whilst also limiting production as well as extraction.
Taken together, this greatly limits Russian exports and reduces their profits whilst also setting the stage for additional strikes that aim to eliminate exports from European Russia entirely.
Russia is being decarbonized by force. Because if they are not, their profits from global O&G shortages will buoy their floundering economy, enabling Moscow to continue to prosecute their war of conquest.

UPDATE:
I’ve spoken to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) which monitors attacks on British vessels. They’ve confirmed they have recorded no such incident anywhere off the Lebanon coast and have said no British vessels have been attacked.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Unconfirmed reports from Israel have claimed a British vessel has been hit by an anti-ship missile from Lebanon by Hezbollah. Defences sources have confirmed HMS Dragon, a Royal Navy destroyer in the region, has NOT been attacked nor struck. I’m still trying to find out more information. More to follow, once I get it.

Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. This is not just another disagreement. Betrayal is not something you just let slide. @cameron19460429 @Maks_NAFO_FELLA You're right, I shouldn't have said "main product", I should have said "only actively used missile". FP-1 and FP-2 are enormous successes. But I think you're holding back way too much regarding their missile program. I'm bullish overall.

@BlueBboyo @Maks_NAFO_FELLA I would argue the FP-1 and FP-2 are their main products buy a wide margin and they've been very successful.
However I would argue flamingo is having real impacts but not yet living up to the hype. Ballistics could be a game changer but I'm slightly skeptical about timelines.

This image would simply not exist if Putin had succeeded in his military ambitions in Syria and Ukraine. This is a moment that only exists in spite of him and in defiance of him, regardless of how conciliatory Damascus has been towards Moscow since December 8th 2024.
