@BryantFerate LETS GO!!!! Hell ya man. I want a personal stylist. I want help displaying/ communicating my femininity - I have spent so many years in “coach” clothes. That is one part of me, the part I am most confident in, but there is so much more to me and I want help expressing it…. 👊🏼

Great minds don’t think alike. They challenge each other to think differently. The people who teach you the most are the ones who share your principles but not your thought processes. Converging values draw you to similar questions. Diverging views introduce you to new answers.

@SamMooreStrong Friendships were hard to build - but I was coaching so just like they were in college friendships were built in. I had no identity and life outside of sport and it felt boxed in. I think I got lucky to be surrounded by high quality people in NYC & at UP

How being wrong can be exhilarating? Rethinking is outcome over ego. This is how I applied it to my thinking, specifically to performance in life and sport.

@BryantFerate @UPortland @PortlandPilots @bradfordtns Ahhhh. Yes!!!!! He is RELENTLESS in his pursuit of growth and learning. He will look everywhere and is always curious of how he can get better. All the days I sat next to him I never once saw him ignore a SA who had a question. He always gave them his attention.

Pressuring people to say yes today often leaves them more likely to say no tomorrow. "I need to talk to you" implies an obligation. "I'd love to talk to you" is an invitation. "I need your help" imposes a burden. "I'd value your help" respects freedom and shows gratitude.

A big misconception is that you need to be motivated to get rolling. You don't. Research: Motivation often FOLLOWS action, not the other way around. In Practice: You don't need to feel good to get going; you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good.

Hearing myself / other coaches ask “does that make sense?” at the end of a quick speech, it’s usually rhetorical. When asked legitimately to specific athletes I’ve gotten some nos. So I wonder how effective it is asking it quickly to a group of athletes and not following up...
