Just heard from a taxi driver how @JeremyVineOn5 cycled up to his cab at a traffic light and filmed him with his camera and then reported him to police. Taxi driver got a 6 points and a 500 pound fine. What a nasty thing to do -taxi wasn’t moving and as soon as it moved he would have stopped talking Vine should start reporting cyclists rushing through red lights if he wants to play tell tale

The focus among some on halal meat is largely to spread prejudice against Muslims. Personally I think animals should be stunned. As I understand it, 80/90% of halal meat is stunned. The vast majority of the people reading your post will have had an Indian take-away. Much of that meat will be halal. Slaughter houses aren’t nice places - whatever the method of killing. So there’s a lot of hypocrisy flying around.

So boiling lobsters while they’re alive (ie. can feel pain) is being banned because it’s cruel to animals and causes unnecessary suffering… …but it isn’t cruel to refuse to stun animals, slit their throats, then hang them up so the blood drains from their bodies????
