@5THCONSCIOUS Agreed. But it really doesn’t seem like Google Maps/Apple Maps is concealing those options from end users in any way. So I’m not sure how salient the point is, in the end.

@BoRidgewood Yes. It is. Again I’m aware of that and still my point its 1000% better to know YOUR route and city better than a Google Maps/maps can show you.

The fact that the LIRR puts me in Jamaica Queens from Downtown BK in 20 mins is the only saving grace for my commute as of lately.
That’s why it matters to know your city & know your route because Google Maps would’ve told me take a million trains and buses just to get here.

Google Maps has a “fewest transfers” mode for the exact case you are describing.

@BoRidgewood That’s not point I was making. If I were to put in my home address to Jamaica queens, it would tell me to make a whole bunch of trains and bunches even though I KNOW I am 15 minutes from Atlantic & can take the LIRR from there

A few years ago, my neighbors were evicted from their multigenerational home. The cousin who owned the deed (did not live there) was coerced to sell to a developer. The tenants tried, unsuccessfully, to defend their home. It was demolished and is now empty luxury condos for sale.

When landlords shut off the heat or send goons to evict us the police say it isn't there concern, but try and protect your neighbors from being made homeless through fraudulent deed theft and the police will brutalize you.

It finally happened to me.
On my flight this morning, I noticed a family started to sit around me.
This is the plane seat plan:

I'm on aisle seat C. They were sitting on B DEFG. One of them suddenly appeared beside my face and asked, "This is my family and I want to sit with them. Is it okay to switch seats? I'm on a window seat."
First of all, that's too close to my face. Second, I paid for my seat and I prefer sitting on the aisle when travelling alone. So....

A key feature of most advanced cities (Singapore, London, Berlin, Tokyo, Stockholm, etc) is the fact that people would rather take the train than drive.
