@PuncheurCycling Today wasn’t Remco’s type of climb and he also doesn’t give everything on the climb so he can ride back after. Tomorrow is more even climb and finish on top so he normaly should be able to hold on longer

@xSeb_ Demain, c'est aussi une montée qui est à Remco, raide mais uniforme + il ne doit pas tenir compte du gaspillage de trop d'énergie sur la montée, ce qui lui fait perdre plus de temps dans les kilomètres après.

Les gens qui disent que Remco va craquer dans les Alpes… Vous le connaissez vraiment? Aujourd'hui et demain sont les étapes les plus difficiles pour lui : des pourcentages plus élevés et un profil irrégulier, c'est exactement ce qu'il déteste. Les Alpes lui conviendront mieux.

@FerrexCS Yeah you’re right but stages untill now had terrain which suited Remco better to come back. Tomorrow will be important for gc.

@Bob900005 there have been plenty of stages with loads of alt meters that turned into a GC slogfest so while yes true, we also can't act like we only had ardennes type classic races & sprints people were saying remco would get MINUTES on tourmalet and it's now already s15 tomorrow so

last climb today was the complete opposite of last climb on tourmalet s6 day for remco. s6 last climb was his ideal profile, today was his worst: no room for tempo climbing&constant stop/start low/high % switchups so only losing 4/10 to jonas/idt/seixas = great performance imo

@Miguel002370941 @lucxsronald Yeah but only finished 4 seconds behind Jonas, on col du haag he was also only 20 seconds behind on top. If he does really good in TT, it still isn’t over for me. We don’t know how Seixas will be in third week.

@ProfVanAert @peder134 Visma aren’t known to be humble, Campenaerts said on Belgian TV that he believes that Jonas can win the Tour, Van Hooydonck was 100% convinced he could win the Tour. This just makes it easier to hate on Jonas. Jonas himself is humble but his team isn’t.
