@wrowclif There would need to be some validation of the home schooling so that people don't abuse it and leave the kids without an education. But if it's legitimate then it enables more families to "afford" homeschooling. It also strengthens families.

This is a dumb take. If homeschooling your kids exempted you from funding the school district, not having kids in the school district would also exempt you from those taxes. And then the school would be insolvent and there would be no school.

Social media humor and sarcasm can be difficult to interpret. It depends on your social context. I sometimes miss the humor of younger people. Trump haters and phobes won't get this. Trump is mocking Iran in this post. There's zero chance this was sincere praise for their god. The best part is Trump haters are missing the opportunity to be outraged at his offense against muslims. 🤣

This has to be a bluff, a big blustery one hoping Iran will come to table. I'm not a war tactician, but blowing the whole country off the map (innocent people included) doesn't seem right or a great tactic. Trump seems too prideful to go back on his word; 8p will be interesting.

Option 1: Trump is what he's always been. Every reaction to his post is exactly what he wanted. He may not achieve his goals but he won't be wiping out a civilian population or destroying their infrastructure. Option 2: Trump is an existential evil. We always knew this and everyone should be terrified right now. Something must be done to stop him. What you see is largely based on your presuppositions, your personal agenda or self interest. I will wait to see what happens and adjust my views accordingly. Most of these people will double down or deflect to something else.

If you homeschool your kids, you should be exempt from the portion of your property taxes that goes to the local schools.
