@GovNedLamont Your budget is $15 billion higher (40% increase!) to when you came into office - at a time when CT’s population has been essentially flat. Where in the world is another $15 billion going governor? Who do you think will pay for this now that the COVID money has dried up?

I just signed into law the biennial state budget for FY 2026 and 2027. This is a balanced, sensible budget that is under the spending cap, provides predictability and stability, and holds the line on taxes while keeping Connecticut on a sound fiscal path. (1/5)

Proud? The biennial budget when @GovNedLamont came into office in 2018 was $40 billion. Now it’s $55.5 billion! With all due respect, saying you are “proud” of raising spending by $15.5 billion is unconscionable.
