Some ministry news I wish to share. These are very normal things. And, in this case, concerns a plan that’s been in place for several years. We just didn’t want a 3-year farewell. Lol. That would be a bit much.
The letter I wrote beneath the video on YouTube will also help explain. Not retiring. Just laying aside some of the heavier responsibilities so I can spend my last chapter teaching, speaking and writing but not overseeing a busy ministry. I won’t pretend I’ve not cried 10,000 tears and 1000 of them this morning because I love my LPM/LPL teams so much and I can’t even picture the other side without all of them in my constant life. But it is crucial that we make this transition not only for me in my aging but for them in their own vocations so they are set free with my blessing to pursue their next chapters.
I love you guys.

Every day that goes by without this man being struck down by lightning from heaven is a testament to God’s long-suffering patience. God does not need the United States of America and God sure as hell doesn’t need a predatory narcissistic lying felonious bully in the Oval Office.
After months of careful consideration, and by that, I mean reading yet another post about how AI is destroying humanity, originality, and possibly the ozone layer — I’ve decided to make a change.
Effective immediately, I’m swearing off ChatGPT, AI tools, and, in fact, the internet altogether.
It’s just too risky to keep using technology that helps me think faster, test ideas, and get unstuck. Clearly, the safer move is to return to a proven, time-tested workflow where I do it all without any help.
So, going forward, I’ll be drafting all articles, reports, and book chapters with a reed pen on papyrus. It’ll be long form only. There will be no edits and no backspace. If a thought is wrong, I’ll simply chisel a new tablet and start over, just like the innovators did.
Hopefully, this will finally satisfy the “I’m a real thinker, but you aren’t because you use tools” crowd and restore my credibility with the people who THINK they matter.
If you’re looking for me or need me, I’ll be sourcing ink, dodging humidity, and waiting three weeks for my scrolls to dry.
I’m all about progress.

@LewisHowes Forgiveness and codoning are two different concepts. One can forgive but not let the offender back into their lives if it will do more damage.
Some info about the pastor who presided over the prayer service at the Pentagon this week:
Doug Wilson is the self-ordained leader of a denomination he invented where he answers to no one’s authority.
He preaches a heresy called Federal Vision, for which the Reformed Church of the US has publicly called for his repentance.
He was charged with 94 ecclesiastical charges ranging from pastoral tyranny to using church funds to pay off gambling debt. When called to the carpet, he threw a tantrum, stating, “When I swing, people shatter.”
He lost his 501c3 status for funneling funds to himself via royalties.
He keeps enabling pedophiles in his church, and he shames their victims into silence. He wrote letters to the court on behalf of child rapists and characterized one of their crimes as “a secret courtship” instead of rape, explaining that the victim looked older than she was.
When a church member’s daughter told Wilson that her father was watching her shower. Wilson covered it up and offered to facilitate her counseling sessions, where Nancy Wilson informed her that her father did “nothing illegal.”
When an unsuspecting woman came to church leadership asking for help finding a husband, they paired her with a convicted serial pedophile. Wilson wrote to the court requesting approval for the union despite the expert’s warnings. Wilson officiated the wedding and asked God to bless the couple with children. Shortly after a child was born, the pedophile was sexually aroused by him, as documented on a mandatory polygraph.
Wilson claims he did nothing wrong and would make the same decision again.
He calls wayward women names like crones and harpies and cunts. He hosts panels of men who preach that women shouldn’t vote.
He says American slavery was a good situation for slaves.
He writes obsessively about women’s breasts.
Doug Wilson is the guy you choose when you care more about winning than you do about righteousness.
Is this really the best we can do?
“It’s time to do away with this practice. It seems to me that we have developed a strange allergy to plain speech. Everything must be optimized, curated, elevated, or reimagined…”
New post is up here! Call It What It Is, by @BobSandsopen.substack.com/pub/bobsands/p…
Before anyone says it, not saying this is going to be some bastion of Christian perfection, but I do expect it to be considerably preferable to exposing my kids to Bad Bunny
