@Fenrirtheicewo1 It’s difficult for them to master an element that has a mindset opposite of their own, which is what happened with Aang and Korra. Also, narratively it’s more interesting going from an avatar from the air nation to an avatar that struggles with that element.

It didn't make sense... Every avatar should have difficulty mastering the element opposite to their birth element as its the absolute opposite to all they know... Aang's was earth, and logically, Korra's should've been fire instead
