Almost nothing to criticize in that first half for the USMNT. They are clearly the faster and technically superior side. Bosnia has been effectively physical and they had a nice Olimpico attempt, that’s about it.

@MikeConti929 @CapitolAvenue The only solution to keep the draft is just have flat odds for the lottery teams. Add rules restricting picking in the top 1-5 multiple years in a row.

@FelipeCar We were so used to the old way but it was really the teams having too much control over players they recruited when they were 17. I'd like soccer players to not force transfers too but it happens and it's better for the players so I'm for it.

@NateSilver538 There's gotta be some relation to how long you're at the airport for. If you've got an hour til boarding yeah 10 min makes sense but if you're stuck for 3 hours waiting 3x that amount doesn't seem as bad.

@rjohnston4 @FelipeCar Your argument doesn't work because if they scheduled no hard games they'd be in

@FelipeCar No, I think they didn't beat anyone good this year. And if they only schedule 2 good teams, and lose both, this is a reasonably likely outcome. If they'd like to avoid that, they should join a conference.

"Notre Dame should join a conference so that if they lose multiple times in conference but then win or get whooped in the conference championship game (or not even make that game) they can still be in the playoff."
Tyler James@TJamesND

Notre Dame dropped 2 CFP ranking spots following a 49-20 win at Stanford and no 13th game. Alabama gained 1 spot following a 27-20 win at Auburn and a 28-7 loss to Georgia. ND was penalized for a 27-24 loss at Miami in Week 1. Bama's 31-17 loss to FSU in Week 1 didn't matter.

@MikeConti929 9% of teams making the playoffs is too little. If the NFL did that you'd have a 3 team playoff. If the NCAAB tournament had that few of teams you'd have a 32 team tournament.

In my opinion, the 12 best teams this year are Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas Tech, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Texas, Vanderbilt, Miami, and Alabama. We know at least two of them, and maybe as many as four of them, aren’t getting in. And that’s unfortunate.

@MikeConti929 Tackles are just one part right? I imagine the blocking impact is part of the reason as well.

They changed the kickoff rules to make the play safer. But it feels like the tackles are just as violent with this format.

@FelipeCar Never heard of Front Office Sports, they're probably just farming engagement. Best move is to simply ignore.

“Does (the NFL) dump Bad Bunny for a performer more acceptable to conservative critics? Or does the league stand by a superstar who sings mostly in Spanish?” Ridiculous to even suggest this. Good lord.
Front Office Sports@FOS

Column: The NFL has a Bad Bunny problem. The league needs to get its arms around this growing controversy before the country’s most-watched TV show—the Super Bowl—becomes a political football in the culture wars, writes @MMcCarthyREV ⬇️

That drive started at the Lions own 2-yard line. That's as bad as it gets for the Ravens defense who didn't stop the run and can't get pressure on Goff. Montgomery scores from 1 yard out. That was an 18-play, 98 yard drive that absorbed 10:48.

@MikeConti929 I just don't think this one does either because Tech is still behind Miami and FSU in the ACC and while bunch of others in general. obviously it's different now that being in the top 10 can get you in a playoff where as for the majority of seasons you had to be top 2.

@Bobb_O Bobby, you're not hearing me. That win didn't put them in the national picture, they already had lost a game. I said that they've had many big wins in the last 35 years.

While they’ve had more than a few big wins over the last 35 years, this is Tech’s most significant win with National implications since Virginia 1990. Tech is now a bona fide playoff contender.
