Liebe @Eintracht , wie soll man euere ticketvergabe verstehen? Während Phase I konnte ich nur in bestimmten Blöcken Karten kaufen (nicht mein DK Block). Und jetzt in der offenen Phase muss ich feststellen, dass ich meinen DK Platz hätte haben können wenn ich gewartet hätte🤷🏻‍♂️

Proteomics folks out there, I have a question about correction for multiple hypothesis testing (FDR). We find a lot of experiments when Q vales are very high with p values very low. We validate the results and find they are indeed significant. What would you do in such cases?

Hey #proteomics and #bioinformatics Folks. We get asked a lot how to perform the analysis from our papers. Often people have to coding experience. We now wrote a implementation with GUI that makes already published analyses accessible. Is there a journal to publish this tool?

@welt Echt traurig, dass Promotionsstudenten nicht besser bezahlt werden… völlig normal im universitären Betrieb. Doktoranden werden bezahlt für ihre Forschungsarbeit. Ob über Stipendium oder regulären Arbeitsvertrag… so gut wie jeder Doktorand würde diese Schlagzeile verursachen

I am super annoyed. Could also be the update of the String Plugin, but both release notes do not state anything like it. Many people in the institute Face this problem, rendering the toolbox unusable. Takehome message either code it yourself or don’t update until end of analysis

Since a few month I cannot reproduce any of the pathway enrichment data in the @cytoscape String App. Now I reanalyzed a old dataset from beginning of the year and got completely different results. I have to do all analysis again, just because I updated cytoscape #Bioinformatics
