The anti-#txed campaign is sinking! Bad school board people defeated. School bonds pass all over. Voucher billionaire @timdunntexas loses his hometown #txlege House more anti-voucher than ever. @GregAbbott_TX temper tantrums daily. Texas is the front line. Hold it, y'all.

Argyle ISD is the place to be! Incredibly energizing today to welcome our new Eagles! I heard over and over “family, culture, excellence, and high expectations” as reasons WHY educators are flocking to @ArgyleISD! Welcome home! #SoaringHigher #ArgyleEagles

5 tips to reduce stress of staff. 1) if asking to meet with staff member, let them know why. 2) Don't address an issue you have with one person with the whole staff. 3) praise a lot more than you critique 4) fewer meetings 5) continual encouragement, support, and praise.

Effective leaders possess both compassion and competence. For example, they can be demanding without being degrading. Simultaneously praising and pushing you to be your best.

Don't think morale is important for adults? Do you think students learn better in a classroom where the teacher is valued, appreciated, supported, and celebrated, or a classroom where the teacher feels isolated, disrespected and hanging on by a thread?

You can't administrate a school to excellence. But when leadership creates an environment where everyone can grow, contribute their talents, support each other, feel valued, and appreciated, you create a team culture that leads to excellence.

Teachers who receive regular recognition & appreciation are: * More productive * More engaged in school * More likely to stay with school * More likely to receive higher satisfaction scores from students & parents. Yes, Appreciation matters!

Today, I scheduled Stay interviews to learn about teachers’ motivations and understand exactly what they need to happily stay at Summers MS. So worth the time and effort. Lots of great insight! @N2Learning #SummersStrong

@MsAlison314 No but… it’s not a bad idea. I’ve walked back a lot of factoring. I have an unusual method that always works for quadratics that a student came up with years ago. Want to see it?

What order do you teach factoring? Does anybody do factoring ax^2 before x^2 ? I’m debating on what order to do for my Algebra 1B class. #mtbos #alg1chat #iteachmath
