I started early this morning by visiting with the Vanceburg Fire Department as they conducted training and prepared for the challenges they face every day. Our first responders are the backbone of our communities, answering the call at all hours and putting service above self to keep us safe. I have tremendous respect for the men and women who put on the uniform and stand ready to protect their neighbors day in and day out. Thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to serving our communities. These are the exact people I want to represent and fight for in Washington.
