@SplitCapital In Brazil it's quite different already. Most of the crypto volume is either people holding stables to get dollar exposure, or stables being used for payments and cross border.

This is an attractive narrative but the overwhelming majority of stablecoin usage is for trading and as a currency pair for trading. This will, in fact, decline in the next decade but trading and exchanges are *the* venue for stablecoins still.

USDH products mostly struggling to grow. Growth limited to everything in HL main front end (incl Hip3 pairs). Even there, USDH pairs have low liq as you show. Meanwhile you had proposals from big players like Paxos that would not only bootstrap liquidity inside HL but also integrate it with several tradfi consumer rails, create integrated on/off ramp which would streamline adoption from normies, and open the path of becoming regulatory compliant (if they chose to do so - i think they will deliberately chose to remain descentralized deregulated and that is an understandable choice)

Hyperliquid at $40: The good, the bad, and the ugly. The price is exploding, almost doubling in just over a week. For a project with a multi-billion dollar valuation, this move is incredible. Looking at the metrics, everything is growing. Revenue and volume are trending up across both Hypercore and HyperEVM. The most impressive part? The traders are comming in. Active users are now at 184,000, inching closer to the all-time high of 216,000. People are finally realizing that Hyperliquid is the best-in-class product. However, it’s not all green. We need to look at the negatives: > Open Interest Crash: We saw OI grow from $5.74B to over $10B in six weeks, but the recent mass liquidations have wiped it back down to near-cycle lows. That’s a massive loss of leverage and speculative interest. > Market Concentration: @tradexyz still hold a massive market share. While projects like @felixprotocol and @markets_xyz are growing, they aren't keeping pace with the leader. @Dreamcash has quietly climbed into the second-place spot. It seems to be the only real contender now. > HyperEVM Liquidity Gap: This is the biggest red flag. I don’t know how many stablecoins there are, because DeFiLlama doesn’t allow you to separate how much is on HyperCore versus HyperEVM. However, as you can see in the image below, the TVL is extremely low once you exclude USDC from the equation, especially considering that almost all of that amount sits in the perpetuals protocol. For a project of this scale, that is way too low. Without deep stablecoin liquidity, the DeFi ecosystem there simply cannot thrive. A network without stables is a network where DeFi doesn't work.

I always thought this was a great heuristic to model Bitcoin floor prices. Break even production for miners for 1 BTC is currently sitting at $75-85k assuming $0.06/kWh.
