There was a great documentary on Netflix a while ago that showed how NASA and SpaceX operate differently. NASA won’t build something until they (think) it’ll run flawlessly and then they build one. SpaceX will blow up 50 rockets and learn something from every failure and iterate from that.

@ManaByte It's very generous to say SpaceX learns something from each failure. That's how they frame it by making their staff clap and cheer each time a failure happens live, but the reality is they have unlimited government funds and are led by a guy that doesn't understand rockets.
