President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni officially opened the 10th edition of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo, his presence at the opening underscores the Government of Uganda's commitment to advancing tourism as a strategic pillar for investment, job creation, and national development. Congratulations to Uganda and the entire tourism sector on this grand opening. POATE 2026 runs under the theme "Wanderlust - It's Your Time to Thrive," and the energy here at Speke Resort Munyonyo already says everything. We have two more days to go and entry is free. Uganda is the Pearl of Africa🇺🇬 I do not see this as tagline, not as a tourism slogan, not because its a job, it is a fact. Matter of fact, every child growing up in Uganda, and every Ugandan child growing up anywhere else in the world, should know this before they know anything else about where they come from. Because when a generation grows up knowing the full weight of what this land holds, they will not wait for the world to discover it, they will show it themselves. Then the next step will be showing you guys what Africa has to offer in general🌍

The Guangzhou premiere was historic, the National Premiere in Kampala was a milestone but the Katanga screening is the one that sits differently. Community performances, sports with the kids homes, the Mama Africa album launch - songs about Uganda from Katanga, and a live Luganda translation of the documentary by @Vj_Ulio - bringing Back to the Source - The Nile, to the people it was always made for. A film is not successful because of the number of viewers. It is successful when it changes how someone sees themselves and what they believe is possible for their life. If even one child in Katanga walked away that night believing they could make something - we did our job🙏🏾🇺🇬 #BacktotheSourceTheNile

The one and only @VJ_Ulio will be live in Katanga on 16th May 2026, which is today bringing Back to the Source - The Nile, to the people it was always made for. A Ugandan diplomat, a lifelong fear of water, the River Nile - Now coming to Katanga Mukasawe🌊 And yes, this information came out late. Deliberately, because the people who matter most at this screening are not the VIPs. They are the residents of Katanga, the community that is too often left out of the national conversation. Not this time. Today is a day of games and sports, community leadership, coming together, the Mama Africa album launch, local talent performances, and the film screening. One of my dreams is to see Judith here on an international TV screen one day. Or even on one of our own here in Uganda🌍🎬 This young girl is from Katanga I have known for closely 4 years. She delivers one of the most confident, natural pieces of communication I have seen in a long time. She did not rehearse that. That is just who she is. The talents in the community amaze me everyday, we will highlight them this Saturday at the same-time bringing them the Luganda translated version of BTTS This message belongs to everyone. #BacktotheSourceTheNile #KatangaPublicScreening

He is not just a President. He is a father, a connector, and a protector of nations. What an honour to call him ours. It might take you time for that to click, but I promise you one day it will. I met President @KagutaMuseveni alongside Maama @JanetMuseveni last year. And I will be honest with you - when you have never been close to real power, you see the world completely differently. I knew about him, the way most of us know about him but those few minutes sent me somewhere else entirely mentally that I will never recovered from. I went home and I invested myself in understanding who this man actually is. Read all his books, every interview, every public record I could find. I watched him, listened to him, watched how he moves with his convoy. And I think those SFC guys have a genuinely hard time with him because Mzee does not care about security protocols when he is with his people. He stops anywhere, he walks out and he greets people just like that😁 Something still blows my mind, there is nothing or few things in this world he doesn’t know about, and a super photographic memory. One thing y’all might remember very well, the immediate switch from the PDM tours to the Campaigns, at 81? Howww is he able to do that? My mind had one answer and one answer only He has never stopped dreaming. To single out, there is a Dream he has carried for decades. East Africa building a centre of gravity on this continent so that we can defend ourselves from what y’all know very well, we know they will come back one day. That dream is still burning in him. And that is one of the many dreams that won’t let him slow down. Dreams and purpose does not age and People do not grow old from years. We grow old the day we stop dreaming. A 25-year-old who has quit dreaming is older than Mzee. I pray he lives to see every part of that dream set in motion. Congratulations @KagutaMuseveni. May God give you the wisdom, the health, and the strength to carry this nation to where you have always believed it belongs🇺🇬

What a night🇺🇬✨ My team called it 'Disruption day", indeed it was. Esther Nabaasa joined us for the Uganda National Premiere of Back to the Source - The Nile, and if you know her music, you already know what she brought to that room. This was more than a film premiere. On Saturday 25 April 2026 we had a 3-in-1 moment at Mestil Hotel, Kampala; The Ceasefire - a theatrical performance by the Theatre Association of Uganda, Cry from the Valley - the official album launch of Esther Nabaasa and Gnl Salim Saleh.
