I can’t for the life of me understand why the Chargers - with all the cap and cash available to them - let negotiations with Tony Jefferson get to where he takes to SM over his guarantees. Over $2M contract? His play and leadership is easily double that, fully guaranteed.

In my opinion, AJ Brown is going to go down as the best WR in franchise history for the Philadelphia Eagles. No WR in the history of the team has had four straight seasons of 1,000 yards. AJ Brown was also an All-Pro three straight times. In four years with the Eagles, AJ was the number 1 WR for a team that made it to the Super Bowl twice, won double-digit games four times and made the playoffs every year and he was the best skill player on offense during that stretch and second best offensive player behind Lane Johnson. I don't understand why he wants out so badly, given the individual success he's had and the team success the Eagles have had, but I've never understood how many WR think. #Eagles

Drafting 2 starting Guards or 1 Guard & 1 converted Tackle out of 5 picks carries the same amount of risk as getting 2 older, injury prone free agents. Slater is already making $28M / yr Alt will make another $30M / yr in 2 years. Biadasz makes $10M / yr They'd be finally doing what they should've done in 2024 when they had 10 picks - draft OLinemen. We also have the best Offensive Coordinator in the league to mitigate the risk of having a mid OLine this year. We also have good backup / fringe starting Guards like Penning and Strange if for some reason the draft picks cannot start immediately. Trust Mike McDaniel, Trust Butch Barry. Joe Hortiz is just listening to them.

@DanWSports Where exactly are we spending the cap? Other than “depth” and supporting cast. Seems to me like we lost on a couple FA targets and not scrambling to plan B or C.

I get the nervousness/frustrations from #Chargers fans, but going this way is a strategy, not a reaction. They're banking on coaching (McDaniel, Barry), scheme, & surrounded talent (Slater, Alt, Biadasz, Herbert, Hampton, Ingold, Kolar), and looking to spend money elsewhere.
