Inside out is about a young girl who has had to move cities and is faced with her emotions inside her own head - joy, fear, anger, disgust and sadness about how they all conflict with each other on how to best navigate a new city, house and school. #Educ4750 #UoNTeach #SDG3

In order for students to have good overall wellness and mental health, they need to be eating a healthy balanced diet. The photos below are a guide for ALL people to use when thinking about eating healthy. This would be great to analyse in class! #EDUC4750 #UonTeach

Fantastic idea to teach students the serving sizes of food, how much they should be eating a day and what foods are the healthy ones so the ones they should be eating more of and the ones they should be eating less of. #UoNTeach #Educ4750

A great way for students to truly understand what their plate should look like. It is also interesting that the two posters are different. An activity may include students analysing the two and discussing the differences. Thanks for the share Jorja! #SDG3 #educ4750 #uonteach

@cram_ms Such a fantastic idea that could be used in a variety of different ways during lessons to help further extend students knowledge about healthy fruits and vegetables. Picture books are a great resource.

🍉🍏🫐🥕🥭🥑 This beautiful book introduces some healthy fruits and veggies in a fun and engaging way. It is a great starting point for discussions around healthy eating, that can then stem into other topics (e.g. sustainability, cultural eating, etc.). #educ4750 #uonteach #SDG3

Another post that supports the benefits pets can have on our mental health and well-being. A lesson idea could be for students to write why they think their pet benefits their mental health and well-being! Maybe a persuasive text? #educ4750 #uonteach #dogsarelove

Not all relationships need words. Never has this been more true than with the bond between people and their pets. It's a friendship that can do a lot to support your mental health. Read about just some of the ways that pets can positively impact your wellbeing.

Reading picture books is an engaging activity. Kids are able to connect with the book & become inspired. 'Mind Hug' by Emily Arber is a great book that teaches kids to practice breathing to control their thoughts! Press the link for more books #educ4750 acornbooksblog.wordpress.com/2018/02/06/pic…

Picture books are useful when teach students about mindfulness, regulating emotions etc. What is your classroom favourite? Mine is 'Listening to my Body' by Gabi Garcia as it effectively explains to children how to understand and communicate their emotions. #uonteach #educ4750

Its important as a teacher to include all students within their lessons no student should feel left out no matter their learning processes. 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health in any one year. #educ4750 #uonteach adcet.edu.au/inclusive-teac…

An interesting article food for thought: about the thought of what we feed children and the impact it can have on their mental health. The question is does what my children eat affect their mental health? #educ4750 #uonteach happiful.com/food-kids-ment…
