@rats7 Like shit, I’m an aspiring actor and audition for gigs where it’s a 10 hour shoot where they pay for my travel, my fitting, the 10 hours, agent fee’s, and multi-year royalty agreements. There’s no reason not to do them jokes

@rats7 Acting and entertainment as a whole are just super duper unreliable forms of income. You can get a multi-million dollar movie deal and then just never work again if you’re unlucky. Ads are quick and come with royalties. You’ll be making $5000 a month for years and forget about it

I think it’s safe to assume that if he was solo hunting arrows he would be fine without using the world.

Serious question for all Catholics. I want to understand this. It is in my estimation that we should be able to wear whatever we want to mass. Men should be able to wear cut offs, hats, flip flops, bathing suits, etc. Women can wear yoga pants, booty shorts, sports bras, tank tops, etc. If you don't think we should allow that, why? Do you think Christ would care that Clarissa shows up in booty shorts and a tank top? Heck we're just glad she's there for Christ. This is all acceptable attire in normal public. So why not mass? So if this is the case, then why should we care about modesty? Christ doesn't. If he did we'd make sure there is an enforced dress code. Why is modesty such a big thing in Catholicism? Christ meets us where we are. Does a place of worship need outward reverence, or just spiritual and internal reverence? I want a full logical layout of anyones argument as to why this photo should not be the norm in every mass. If you disagree with that premise then I expect a good logical argument that holds up against critique. But it seems to me based on all of the comments to Rachel's post that most Catholics agree you can dress this way for mass on any given sunday.

Js, I've had a 5pm Sunday Mass where an 18/19 y/o came in pajamas. Instead of wagging my finger at him, I said, "Welcome! Are you new to the parish?" Come to find out, he was driving back to college from Xmas break, saw the parish, and felt moved to come in.

I’ve never understood why they don’t sell tickets to visit movie sets after filming instead of immediately tearing them down. Could easily get a couple grand or hundred grand more profit for anticipated movies. Just remove some of the spoilery bits and viola a tourist attraction

Christian afterlife was so confusing to me as a child because they tell you that in heaven everyone becomes like some kind of a sinless celestial being with no earthly needs, and then you just worship God there for eternity

@Dinkalus @GambelerQuail I’d guess that our mentalities and consciousness were originally suited for eternity and original sin corrupted it. We weren’t even originally meant to die at all. And and far as we know God doesn’t get bored of being alive so why would he create us without that same ability?
