Virginia is the only state in the South that hasn’t restricted women’s reproductive rights since the Dobbs decision. And under my watch, it will stay that way.
 
In Virginia, healthcare decisions about contraception, fertility treatments, and reproductive care will continue to be made between women and their doctors — not by politicians. That’s a promise I’ve made, and it’s a promise I intend to keep.

Zeek. Find a conservative Presbyterian (PCA, OPC, etc.) or a solid Reformed Baptist congregation. I am convinced that this constraint will more likely than not find a body of believers that love Jesus Christ, and worship Him in spirit and truth. I am in almost the same situation as you brother, so I visited a Reformed Baptist church that meets in the YMCA this morning. I wept while singing hymns and spiritual songs that glorify the Lord, something my pragmatic church rarely does. The sermon was God honoring, exposition of Exodus 15.1-21 when Moses and Miriam led the congregation in worship after God destroyed Pharaoh in the Red Sea and saw His people across. Proper Church services are worship from the call to worship to the benediction, and Reformed bodies take this seriously.

For a change of pace… The church my family has been attending for the past couple years isn’t something I’m happy with. The pastor has fully embraced “prosperity preaching” and spends entire sermons clubbing you over the head to tithe. I seriously feel like he’s a bad month away from his own “lock the doors” moment. His wife, the “co-pastor,” literally turned her back on me when I was going through a rough period, both personally and professionally. Honestly, growing up, I never had a good church relationship. There was a LOT of bad disguised as good. The older I get, the more I realize how toxic that environment was. For my little girl, I want her to grow up in faith. I want her to be a true believer in the Word. I want her to enjoy Christ and a relationship with Him. I only hope we can find a really good church in Florida that can nurture all of it. Y’all pray for my family and I, please.

@ZeekArkham Time to go Church shopping. Some good signs: Preaching from the Bible. Singing of Psalms and Hymns. No "Worship Team". No female Deacons, Elders, or Pastors. No stage shows or skits. Go for simple.

People think the biggest issue with Israel is their war crimes. That's obviously fair, given how atrocious the genocide and all their atrocities have been. But there is second giant problem as well - American sovereignty. Their lobby gives money to 94% of Congress, they completely bully our national media into compliance and they have robbed us of our sovereignty here. No matter who we elect, they seem to serve Israel. And then our media tells us that's normal. That's not normal! It's weird how our media and politicians all grovel to the same country. That's nowhere near normal. As an American, that bothers me to my core. The whole point of this country is indepedence and freedom. It feels like they've taken that from us. And I can't stand it.

The Fifth Circuit just told millions of women that three judges know better than the FDA, their doctors, and 25 years of evidence. They don't. This restriction on medication abortion is a nationwide abortion restriction, full stop. I have no intention of letting this stand.
