Young Nebraskans are facing real challenges right now—we don’t have enough good-paying jobs, and housing, healthcare, insurance, and food are too expensive! We owe them a fair shot at the American Dream, and I’m running to help make that possible again.

The Dignity Act is a smart, balanced approach to fixing our broken immigration system. I hear from employers across Omaha that they can’t find enough workers. This bipartisan bill addresses that need while enforcing the law and holding people accountable. It is not amnesty.

1/3 The real work of campaigning doesn’t make headlines. It’s the quiet stuff: fixing a flag, rolling in a trash can, or chasing down a loose pup while out knocking on doors.

On the first anniversary of the birth into heaven of our dear #PopeFrancis, his words and actions remain written in our hearts. We carry on his legacy by always proclaiming the joy of the Gospel, announcing God’s mercy, and promoting fraternity among all men and women.

Our state still faces a significant wildfire threat. Today, I issued a proclamation to ensure that Nebraska National Guard resources are ready and available to respond to wildfires, should they be needed. High winds, low humidity, and dry conditions continue to be a concern and could produce dangerous conditions. Protecting the citizens of Nebraska is my number one priority. We are ensuring that resources are ready to combat fires and safeguard lives and property. I have full confidence in Adjutant General Strong to lead our state’s disaster response with efficiency and effectiveness.
