Don’t make CAPFs a dumping ground of misfits. Such appointments have the potential to complicate matters as he is likely to find very large number of higher age and lower rank officers there.

Too many senior IPS officers in search of any job to do and no vacancies in states, certainly puts pressure on any govt to give them some job. So hunt starts with CAPFs where they find themselves out of their depth. Reform needed in IPS and urgently.

CAPFs deserve old pension scheme as they are also armed forces of the union and serve the nation in all the hard areas of the country and abroad.

This colonial attitude and hangover must end. CAPF officers are highly trained, well experienced and professionally competent to lead their respective forces for more modernity, better equipment and forward looking HR policies. That’s the way forward, not this repressive bill.
