Standup Comedy: Ramayana narrated by the Investment Banker A Happy Diwali to all my followers. This is a standup video who's original script I wrote while I was still in my investment banking job. That time I used to hide and write it by using Alt-tab because I used to sit right across the CEO's cabin. Today the same CEO proudly shares this video. To me this video is the best answer to the question I keep getting "How did you make the switch from Investment banking to standup comedy?" Well, the answer is I didn't. Because I couldn't have planned this. But what you can plan is how to make this video viral on Twitter. I hope you enjoy it as I have enjoyed the response it has gotten me over the years. Dedicated to my late father, Shri Ramawatar Poddar. Jai Shri Ram! #HappyDiwali2023 #Ramayana #standupcomedy #corporatecomedy #investmentbanking

"I didn't feel an emotional connection with him." Guess what? Emotional connection comes from physical connection. This is why women who try so hard to "platonicize" their dates and interactions with men are just cucking themselves. "Oh, we must meet in a public place with 1,000 other people around." "Oh, we must do a FaceTime pre-check to gauge the vibes before committing to the date." "Oh, he must be a gentleman and sit across from me with a huge table separating the two of us." ...no shit you didn't feel the chemistry, ya dumb bitch. Because you kept coming up with stupid rules (and it didn't help that he played along like an obedient puppy dog). You've been cucking the entire interaction from the start. Whaddya expect to happen? You don't even know what makes you tick, what gets your engine going, what puts butterflies in your stomach. No wonder you've sent out "no spark" HR texts to 10 out of the last 10 men you had a first date with. How can women be so stupid and oblivious? 🤦

an advice to indian men between ages 23-29 is to do whatever they can to not get longhoused. i've reached an age where i'm surrounded by marriages and also getting a glimpse into the absolute mess in indian gen-z marriages. one combo that keeps coming up repeatedly is of a longhoused husband + a free-spirited independent wife. you see, boomers raised kids in two ways: - one set of boomers were hyper controlling. running every action, decision, and withdrawing love the second their kid showed any will of their own - the other minority just gave full freedom and stayed of their kids lives as much as they could the first bunch created an army of "longhoused" kids wired to chase parents approval for everything. even trading off what they know is right just to keep the validation. this setup works somehow through school and college but the moment these guys hit the marriage market it explodes. a longhoused husband with an independent wife can't even decide to have sex without calling parents first. the wife spots the zero spine and starts seeking emotional/physical support outside. this is a recipe for disaster. break the approval addiction or you're gonna get fucked when marriage hits and you still need mummy-papa's permission for every move. don't become that guy watching his wife check out while he sits spineless and alone in his own house. grow a spine.

Men often underestimate the complexity of female psychology. She can want to be wanted, taken, even objectified and still reject being sexualized without emotional safety. If that confuses you, you’re reading her too literally. A woman can crave desire from the man she’s attracted to and still need to feel safe, respected and emotionally held. These aren’t contradictions. They’re context dependent responses. If you don’t understand that, you’ll keep making a Type II error (missing what’s actually there) and not even know it. This is where a lot of high performing men get it wrong. They read her response at face value, instead of understanding the context driving it. Desire without safety repels her. Safety without desire bores her. And you need both—calibrated. That’s a skill you can develop.

So, Nepal has launched an "Accountability" website. Citizens can track government projects, costs & timelines, etc. on the website. Nepal seems to be doing everything right these days !

Nepal Prime Minister introduces strict reforms to transform the nation • No photos of political leaders in government offices. • No caste based politics equality for all. • No road blocking for VIP convoys • All Ministers and Goverment employees kids must study in goverment schools • Political party affiliated student groups to be removed from schools and universities within 60 days. • Government introduced a digital transparency platform called Pratipakchya to track the government’s promises and progress. When will India introduce the same laws as Nepal?

@aerockrose I experienced this myself. I thought corporate comedy shows as an industry was finished by Covid. But due to my skills in writing was able to kill it in online shows because memorization was no longer required.

In 2013, Nassim Taleb gave a 53-min Stanford masterclass on why chaos makes some businesses stronger. His ideas: - The coffee cup that survives 4 million hits - Why helicopter engineers ride their own machines - The country where nobody knows the president 12 lessons on risk:

You don’t even need to look very far. Look at female artists, actresses, models, and wealthy women. How many of them have you heard of signing, mentoring, and investing in other women to help them succeed? If you read the biographies of many female artists, you’ll often find that it was a man who discovered them and invested in their careers. It is rarely another woman. Yet, these are the same people who criticize or want to dismantle the patriarchy.

This evening I was out with my friends, just normal girl talk, laughing, vibing. I mentioned I needed money for an investment and the whole table went quiet. Straight silence. One person even had the audacity to ask me, “your man nko?” So “women supporting women” only applies until money is involved?

Almost Every boy has grown up listening to stories from his mom about how she adjusted in the family despite all odds. But as these boys grow up & get married, they are forced to think that MAY BE, MAY BE there is another side of story which mother did not tell bcz history is written by the victors & Moms are the victors of storytelling bcz father & son don’t get along well 😂😂

Here’s what I live by. Every single day. No negotiations: 🍽️ Eat less — I stopped eating for pleasure and started eating for performance. The body runs cleaner when you stop overloading it. Less noise in the gut. More clarity in the mind. 😴 Sleep more — The world glorifies the grind. I glorify recovery. Every great run I’ve ever done was built on sleep the night before. Rest is not weakness. Rest is strategy. 📵 Break from social media — The scroll is the new sugar. Addictive. Empty. Exhausting. When I disconnect, I reconnect — with my thoughts, my purpose, my next move. 💪 40 pushups — daily — Not because 40 is a magic number. Because showing up for something small, every single day, rewires your relationship with discipline. You stop waiting to feel like it. 🏃 5 km run — This is where I solve my hardest problems. No deck. No meeting. Just movement and thought. The road has given me more answers than any boardroom ever has. 🏔️ One trek a month — Mountains are the greatest equaliser I know. They don’t care about your title. Your targets. Your last quarter numbers. They only ask: how bad do you want the summit? That question follows me back to work every single time. I’ve led sales teams across the country. I’ve sat across the table from angry customers, resistant partners, and impossible targets. And what I’ve learned is this: The leader you are at the summit is the leader you are in the office. Discipline doesn’t compartmentalise. It bleeds into everything — your patience in a tough negotiation, your calm in a crisis, your consistency when no one is watching. You want to lead better? Start with the body. The mind will follow. Start with the small things. The big things will align. Start today. The mountain isn’t waiting.
