@BTCBreadMan I'm in a calorie deficit. I literally eat less than 1100 calories a day. I keep gaining weight. I MIGHT make it to 1300 calories on a "cheat" day.

My best friend is 36 years old. His wife is pretty, but she’s big. Like, really big. He’s being patient with her because she’s dieting and exercising, but she’s only lost a couple lbs in 6 months despite being in a “calorie deficit”. How do I explain to him that it’s impossible to stay fat on a calorie deficit, and that she’s obviously lying to him?

I hate that the US is so attached to this 2-parent household nuclear family bs. Mothers are miserable this way and always have been. It was never as beneficial as it was marketed. Women were drugging themselves to get through the day. Become neighbors with your best friend. Co-parent with your cousin. Alternate weekends with a school mom. Idgaf. But think of something else outside of thinking your marriage alone is enough support for you, your spouse, and your children.

@usuallypregnant Both. A priest (with good intention) will be able to tell if it is demonic or not. A therapist can help with the trauma of the voices or demons, whichever they may be. I will always choose a Bible abiding Christian therapist, though.

I especially want to hear from Christian parents. If your adult son or daughter was hearing voices that were telling them to harm themselves or others - which would you choose and why?

@sweatystartup I just accepted a good paying position as an HOA office manager. That being said, I get why some would like to be able to plant a tree without prior approval.

All the rich people I know love living in places with HOAs. No broken down boats. Rainbow yard signs. Grass 2 feet tall. Lack of weed control. Broken fridge on front porch. Broke people hate HOAs because they hate doing basic things to make their houses look nice.

@UcheMaryOkoli I went to school for ministry for protestants. Most do a 3 year introductory ministry school then move on to AT LEAST 4 more years of study, most do more and are still in school when they start ministry.

A Catholic priest who undergoes at least 10 years of rigorous spiritual, academic, and pastoral formation is who you are comparing to your “pastor” who spent a few months in discipleship school or whatever you choose to call it? Perhaps it’s time to remind you that the very reason you celebrate Easter on the 5th of April is because of the Catholic Church, the same church you spend all day criticizing. If you think the Catholic Church is “too boring,” then you are free to leave. The Church is not here to entertain you or to tell you only what you want to hear. If it’s excitement and feel-good messages you’re after, there are plenty of Protestant churches that will gladly provide that. But understand this clearly: if you reject the Eucharist,if you reject the Blessed Sacrament,you are rejecting Jesus Christ Himself. And that is the truth.

I will never forget the first time I asked a man for $1,000. He sent almost immediately, made sure I received it, and he never mentioned it again. You would have thought I asked for $10. That moment showed me I could never deal with a broke man again. Men with money move completely different and once you experience it, you can't go back!
