The Zimbabwean population greeted Mugabe’s 1980 election victory with euphoria. For many it was a dawn of freedom & prosperity after the oppressive British colonial rule. Liberation war fighters commonly known as ‘Guerrillas’ also joined the celebrations, with the belief that their sacrifice had finally delivered land & dignity to the people. There were very high expectations for reconciliation, redistribution of wealth & justice. What went wrong?

2030 is about protecting these lifestyles. If you are not in Frame 1, then you are in Frame 2. The sad part is that the majority of Zimbabweans fit into Frame 2.

Commemorating Africa Day with, and learning from, arguably one of Africa’s sharpest pan african leaders, Brian Tamuka Kagoro, discussing youth, multilateralism, and the future of democratic governance. It is always a pleasure and honour to draw from @TamukaKagoro77’ s infinite reservoir of wisdom, intellect and revolutionary honesty. Africa shall rise!!

In the next 24 hrs l am going to reveal 4 other pple who are part of the syndicate. If protecting Varakashi is more important than their friends, so be it! Africa’s future will not be secured by resources alone, but by ideas, institutions, democratic renewal and economic transformation. The next chapter of Africa must be built on trade, industrialisation, value addition, critical minerals, and strategic cooperation—not dependency. Africa must stop watching history and start writing it. Happy Africa Day. #AfricaDay #Agenda2063

🌍#HappyAfricaDay from the heart of Zambia 🇿🇲 - the land of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, a son of Africa who believed that freedom means nothing unless it belongs to all of us. Today, we celebrate more than a continent. We celebrate a people. A history written with courage, resilience, sacrifice, and hope. From the deserts of the north to the oceans of the south, from the forests of Central Africa to the cities and villages that pulse with African life, we are bound together by one identity, one destiny, and one spirit: AFRICA. As African youth, we carry within us the dreams of generations that fought for liberation, dignity, and unity. The voices of Nelson Mandela, Patrice Lumumba, Julius Nyerere, Thomas Sankara, Samora Machel, and Robert Mugabe still echo across our continent, reminding us that Africa rises strongest when Africans stand together. Today, we reject xenophobia in all its forms. We reject hatred among brothers and sisters who share the same soil, the same pain, and the same future. No African is a foreigner in Africa. Whether from Lusaka, Lagos, Nairobi, Kigali, Accra, Harare, Johannesburg, Cairo, Dakar, or Addis Ababa - Africa belongs to all Africans. We condemn the violence, division, and wars that continue to steal the futures of our people in different parts of our continent. Every child displaced by conflict, every mother grieving, every youth robbed of opportunity is a wound on the soul of Africa itself. We call upon our leaders to silence the guns, choose dialogue over destruction, and protect the dignity and sanctity of African life. This generation must become the generation that finally fulfills the Pan-African dream - a united, peaceful, prosperous, and self-determined Africa. An Africa where borders never become barriers to brotherhood. An Africa where unity is not only spoken about in conferences, but lived in our communities, economies, and daily actions. Long live the spirit of Pan-Africanism. Long live African unity. Long live the youth of Africa. And long live our beloved Africa. #RoyaltyForever #AfricaDay
