Must admit, Im very excited to see this working! Rstest unit tests working with module federation. Testing has been one of the last remaining pain points of this ecosystem.

@_yanpes @jiahan_c How rstest can be better than vitest? What motivated you to migrate? I am thinking to migrate jest to vite but was curious about rstest

@jiahan_c Switch from vitest to rstest was a huge step to consolidate the bundle configurations and clean up the dependencies. 👍 Also the migration was as easy as writing one prompt to Codex using the rspress doc as ref. As always an amazing product added to the rstack family.🎉👌

@DruidMechanics Hi Stephen, which one of your courses you would recommend to a kid who is really good at blender and has some experience with Unity, but zero experience with Unreal? I plan to learn Unreal from udemy and like all your courses but dont know where to start from.

Spent last night and today learning about Redux and RTK, playing around with slices and dispatches, and just scratching the surface! Yet I'm not able to even begin to quite understand why one should set up state management like this instead of the native Context API in React?

@acdlite I think world needs client side NextJS (for apps that dont need SEO) once it is there criticism will disappear. No framework scales like react/nextjs. Nextjs spa 🤔

The criticism of React that I've agreed with most over the years is that it's not a full out-of-the-box application architecture, and I don't think we did enough to communicate this. The React-is-a-bloated-nightmare crowd is annoying but they were right on that point.

@jsjoeio With #nextjs proxy requests you can send requests to your next backend proxy and store sensitive data on server. Proxy will forward it to actual backend url

@devongovett Signals look like interesting feature, not sure if it scales well on more complex real life scenarios. Where you will have to keep track of every state update. Imagine onboarding developer on such project. React mental model is much cleaner= reason of success

Easy to forget, but the debate about signals is the same one we had about 2-way data binding vs unidirectional data flow 10 years ago. Signals are mutable state! They’re bindings with a new name. The simplicity of UI as a function of state is lost when updates flow unpredictably.

I really don't mean to be too dismissive of the enthusiasm around signals. I just prefer to imagine a world where the main thing you think about when building components is something other than optimizing update performance.
Seb ⚛️ ThisWeekInReact.com@sebastienlorber

Signals were a hot topic this week in the frontend world - Angular plans to adopt them - @mhevery wrote an interesting article comparing signals vs React equivalent code - @acdlite prefers to bet on the smart compiler React Forget for now. We should get React Labs news soon.
