@lena_birn @jordanbpeterson Cain and Abel came from Judaism. Jews regularly question just about everything. Abraham, the first Jew, argued with God. Nothing has changed.

Don’t feel offended, Cain and Abel is told of in Christianity and if something hasn’t changed in 10.000 years it’s probably time to do something about it?! We are able and cable to do so?! But questioning is and have always been dangerous?! And here we can chose to like, apply, comment or ignore!? In conversation we learn, but oppressors as Cain will always be to?! So just sharing my opinion in all this as I accept yours.

We think of this evil as Marxism. In reality, Marxism is nothing more or less than the current instantiation of a much more ancient evil: possession by the envious and hateful spirit that drove Cain to murder his brother Abel. The great book of Genesis thus portrays mankind as riven by an eternal fratricidal conflict. Those who reject genuine sacrifice become embittered by their subsequent failure ("rejection by God"). Instead of repenting and changing, they turn to revenge. And who do they target? Those who strive to do well and offer what is best. I can't believe how much wisdom the author of Genesis 4 compressed into that story's few sentences. You might even come to believe that God Himself had a hand in it. Truly: it's uncanny. The first two human beings born into history are, respectively, a good, honest productive man and his brother, who allows himself to be consumed by resentment and the desire to destroy. Communism, in a nutshell.

@lena_birn @jordanbpeterson I don't want to offend, but this statement ignores human nature and the moral of the story of Cain and Abel. The story is not religious. The behaviors are the real behaviors of humans. Human nature hasn't changed in 10,000 years.

I rather be a complete failure than a brainwashed religious person! Religion is crowd control! And stigma is racism! Have anyone ever just tried to treat other with respect and decency instead of terrorizing with judgement and validation! Just seeing human as human - set hierarchy by knowledge and skills. Not birthright, bribing and/or bullying! But by seeing WHAT the human contains instead of show off?! Is so HOLLOW and ancient to let yourself be ruled by writing without criticism! Religion IS A GOOD GUIDE LINE! If you don’t know how to! But primarily it’s a handling tool! Especially Christianity (all strings) and Islam! Also reason and weaponizing to war “each other” though WE ARE ALL HUMANS!

I tuned into Joe Rogan yesterday and heard Bernie Sanders' economics, Barack Obama's foreign policy, and Ro Khanna's conspiracy theories. And then I realized JD Vance was talking. I want a candidate in 2028 who doesn't mirror the Democrats -- and who can win. Mr. VP, this is not the way. youtube.com/watch?v=8QcbPC…

🚨 A source close to the Houthis told Reuters that the group had completed preparations to attack vessels by deploying missiles and drones in the Bab al-Mandab Strait area. It was also reported that representatives of the Revolutionary Guards who are already in Yemen will be the ones to make the decision when to close the strait. The decision itself was discussed at the top of the Iranian leadership.

@Fat_Electrician If they ever say "You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet", just respond as George Orwell did... "Then where is the omelet." So many eggs broken over so many decades, and nit a single omelet The problem is that the recipe sucks.

@Thawabet189728 @Alonso_GD What a retard. 20,000 under the age of 20 is not 20,000 children. Military aged males (16-19, and 20 in some numbers) are in that number. For context, the average age of those buried in the cemeteries in Normandy is 22. And we didn't recruit 14-16 year old. Hamas does.

@lamps_apple The natural gas (NG) they need is produced a few hundred miles away in western PA. But because of no pipelines, they need to bring LNG (Liquified NG) from Texas, but that is also bought by those who use to get it form Qatar. Stupid is as stupid does.

Democrats Create the Crisis, Blame Trump and Demand Another Term This is how Democrats govern, state after state. In New York, Hochul helped destroy dependable generation and now uses the resulting shortage to control the AI economy. In Massachusetts, Healey campaigned for governor by boasting, “Remember, I stopped two gas pipelines from coming into this state.” Now Healey complains that Massachusetts does not produce natural gas and that “it’s hard for us to even get it here.” She blocked the infrastructure that would bring it here, sent energy costs soaring to the highest in the nation and now discusses the shortage as though it appeared without explanation. Living in Massachusetts my entire life has taught me how Democrats preserve power. They manufacture hardship, use their control over education and the media to blame businesses and the wealthy, then demand more authority to solve the misery they created. For the past decade, Trump has served as their universal culprit. The accusation requires no causal connection, coherent chronology or logical explanation. A Massachusetts energy shortage created by Massachusetts Democrats can still be assigned to Trump once the Democratic apparatus repeats it through the media, academia and government. Repetition converts the claim into settled fact for voters who will never be shown the original decision. Democrats create the failure, invoke Trump and receive another election to fix it.
Apple Lamps@lamps_apple

Kathy Hochul’s AI Protection Racket New York dismantled the power supply needed for the AI economy, then turned the resulting shortage into a new source of political control and revenue. In 2021, the state shut down Indian Point, eliminating roughly 2,000 megawatts of reliable, carbon-free electricity that supplied about 25% of New York City and Westchester. Natural gas replaced much of the lost generation, emissions increased, and the grid surrendered one of its most dependable assets. Kathy Hochul was lieutenant governor when the closure was completed. She later admitted Indian Point was shut down “without having a Plan B in place.” She still opposes reopening it. The eventual replacement plan collapsed on schedule. Hochul promoted two transmission projects expected to power 2.5 million homes and offset Indian Point. The 175-mile Clean Path NY project was canceled. The remaining Canada-to-Queens line began operating in May 2026, five years after Indian Point closed. It supplies only 1,250 megawatts, barely three-fifths of Indian Point’s capacity, and failed twice during July. Albany eliminated 2,000 megawatts of dependable American nuclear power, abandoned half its replacement plan, waited five years to import a smaller amount of Canadian electricity, and then announced that New York lacked sufficient energy for the AI economy. Hochul’s solution is America’s first statewide moratorium on large data centers. The indefinite permitting freeze comes with bureaucratic reviews, union mandates, additional clean-energy requirements and a recommended payment of at least $1 million per megawatt. A 400-megawatt project could be pressured to surrender $400 million for childcare, housing programs, museums, electric-vehicle chargers and other progressive priorities unrelated to the electricity it consumes. Albany destroyed New York’s energy advantage and converted the wreckage into leverage. AI companies are now expected to finance the political machine for permission to build inside the energy crisis that machine created.

@libsoftiktok This is natural gas, not gasoline. NY (East of the Hudson) and MA have been shutting down nukes and coal plants, then not allowing in enough NG for powerplants. LNG needs to be shipped from Texas, but now they're in competition with previous customers of Qatari LNG.

They're talking natural gas (NG). It's produced in western PA (and could be in western NY if NY wasn't as dumb as MA). Both NY and MA blocked additional pipelines from that region to MA, then closed nuclear and coal facilities. They need to ship LNG (Liquified NG) from Texas, but the ships are being used elsewhere.

If capitalism truly rewarded intelligence and skill, the richest people would be scientists, engineers, and neurosurgeons. If it rewarded talent, artists, writers, and creators would be at the top. If it rewarded hard work, cleaners, laborers, and service workers would be wealthy. But they’re not. So what exactly does capitalism reward?

@Fat_Electrician It's not just Boomers, it's everyone. You earn enough to finally get that house in the neighborhood you want, your tendency is not want it to change. So you vote to keep it the same. This is different from regulations piled on top of regulations until construction chokes off.

Correct. It’s not about the $5 coffee. It’s about the fact that the government keeps adding more regulations and zoning requirements, which increases the cost of building new homes. They do this because the largest voting demographic (baby boomers), who already own homes, benefit when home values continue rising year after year. We have real-life examples. Austin, Texas, eased permitting and some restrictions, built a significant amount of new housing, and has seen lower rents and housing costs as a result. The government is intentionally creating this problem by limiting supply, thus artificially inflating costs to pander to the largest voting demographic.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

CEOs of the largest companies in America make 281 times what the typical worker makes. Since 1978, pay for these CEOs has skyrocketed 1,094%. Typical worker pay? 26%. So no, your $5 coffee isn’t why you can’t afford rent.

Khalil's really got my number. Propagandist for the Israeli regime. Rah rah Bibi! I'm right on 90% of what's said in this video. I didn't know a few hours ago that the military closure was canceled recently. And quite likely -- this from the same JPost report we all learned about the cancelation from -- neither did the soldiers. On all the rest, on the heart of his story -- the alleged detention, the violence no one has seen -- it's the congressman who appears to be mistaken. And since he was there, he's not "mistaken," he's being dishonest. And if that's not true, if the violence really happened and the video surfaces proving it, I've already said I'll be on Khanna's side demanding prosecution. And if it's not, can we admit he lied? Even in this very video that clowns like Khalil call propaganda, I note that Khanna's story is possible, even plausible. I've written about this violence and don't deny it. The opposite; it's a failure and betrayal of Israel that this government allows it to continue. But you know, you'd think someone concerned for the welfare of Palestinians would feel a bit annoyed at the linkage of the nothingburger Khanna experienced with the real tribulations of Palestinians. Palestinians are as much props in Khanna's little political play as we are. Oh, and no one on the Israeli right thinks I'm a "defender of the Israeli right." I'm a patriot, yes. I think my people's story deserves to be told and my people deserve to exist -- and anyone who thinks otherwise is my adversary. Because obviously. But no, I'm no defender of this government, you clown.
Khalil Sayegh@KhalilJeries

So many people I respect think of this guy as somehow an intellectual defender of the 'Israeli right', however, the unfortunate reality is that he functions as nothing more than a propagandist of the Israeli regime who is willing to lie about anything to protect Israel's reputation.
