Today we remember FLT Ed Walsh and FF Michael Kennedy on the 8th anniversary of the tragic loss of their lives at the 9 alarm fire on Beacon St. I’m proud to have known them both. Rest In Peace brothers.

Great start for #PauliesPush to honor and remember the flight crews of 9/11. It was a moving event to remember them 20 years later. Hard to believe that much time has passed. Never forget!!!

On June 24, 1994 Fire Lt Stephen F Minehan paid the ultimate sacrifice trying to save 2 other firefighters at a 9 alarm fire in Charlestown. The 2 firefighters were rescued but Steve lost his life. Today I have the honor of promoting his son Joe to District Chief.

Today we remember the Hotel Vendome Fire which killed 9 Boston Firefighters 49 years ago on June 17, 1972. This moving monument hopefully will remind viewers of the risks faced by firefighters every day. Rest In Peace brothers. You’re sacrifice has not been forgotten!

On April 15, 2013 the Boston Marathon ended in tragedy as a result of two cowards. Let’s remember the victims of that day and how Boston came together to heal and come back even stronger. Lives were saved by the quick actions of @BostonFire @bostonpolice @BOSTON_EMS and ER staff

Today we remember the ultimate sacrifice made by FLT Ed Walsh and FF Michael Kennedy when they lost their lives in the line of duty at a 9 alarm fire on Beacon St. in 2014. Two great guys who loved their job and families. God bless them and their families. Rest in peace brothers!

While on a tour of E42’s new firehouse I was telling the Mayor “ I swear the fish was this big!” Hahaha!

Smoke detectors save lives! Change the batteries this weekend and then do the same for an elderly neighbor who may not be able to change their own.

Nice job by Boston Fire on Southwood St Roxbury. Fire contained to building of origin even though there was heavy fire and high winds. Strategic placement of apparatus made a difference. Great support from @BEMSincidents @BostonSparks @bostonpolice @ISDBoston and BFD Motor Squad.
