@dfchispas @tify330 YES, these aren’t distractions! These are things they WANT to do all at once to change the country fast & hold onto power forever Also, it’s only a distraction if we let it be. The fact that everyone’s always pointing out potential “distractions” shows no one’s being distracted

For the 75,000th time, I get so tired of the distraction theory of politics. The only trite political observations that might get on my nerves more than the distraction thing is talk about “messaging” or “getting tough”.
Caroline Renard@carolinerenard_

Him taking over DC isn't a distraction. It's part of their plan. A plan they have been openly talking about. A plan that we were told to not worry about. This is their first step. Can we all stop pretending that they are operating as if this is still a democracy?

@ok_post_guy @ThomasJCarcetti Yes, and also, back then when they WOULD include a sentence like “in a boost to Americans’ pocketbooks,” they’d always follow it with “but it doesn’t matter cuz people aren’t feeling it in this ‘vibecession,’ and they blame President Too-Old.” None of that here either. Curious.

Under Biden the media was so desperate for "economy bad" stories they found a lady who ordered 17 gallons of milk a week through instacart Trump fired the commissioner of labor statistics because he made the economy suck and we get "there are a few bright spots" FOH

@Christosgage @BittrScrptReadr Just rewatched “Superman & the Mole Men” Supes protects the MM, saying they have every right to life that we do. He later takes away an angry mob’s guns bc he says they can’t be trusted with them! Even in 1951, the 1st Superman film had a message of coexistence & anti-violence.

Don't make me look for panels from the story in Superman #1 where he rescues coal miners from a cave-in, then traps the rich fat cat owner and his buddies in there until he agrees to better working conditions. Superman is infused with Depression-era/FDR Democrat values.

It's not political opinion, it's fact. Superman came to Earth from another planet: he's an immigrant. He was passed off as the natural child of the Kents; he is undocumented/illegal. He worships the Kryptonian sun god Rao, btw, if you're worried about Christian society.

Contrary to popular opinion, not every insane, corrupt, maniacal thing they do is calculated to distract us from a thing you think is more important. They aren’t usually playing 4-D chess here. The majority of time it is just because they’re insane, corrupt and maniacal.

I haven’t watched this since its release in 1994. I was 16 and found it “boring” in comparison to Tombstone which came out six months prior. I’m sure this rewatch will provide some new insights. #NowWatching Wyatt Earp (1994) #FilmTwitter

@BittrScrptReadr This is what I’ve been saying since the days of Concerned Mitt. Tweeting or making a speech and then voting with the party anyway doesn’t even begin to cut it. Switch parties, switch to Indie, or pull a Manchinema and obstruct them. Anything else is just pathetic noise.

Yeah agree on Brad Bird. Wish he would do another live action movie. Can confirm the Pratt rumors were true. It was around Fury Road and maybe SS liked the idea if directing his own reboot. Not sure why it changed but glad it went back to Ford. BB was the first choice for TFA.
José David Ernand@Both_Coasts25

@TimothyDowling Yeah, I remember the Pratt rumors, seemed like he was being considered for everything. I can see Powell too. But honestly I think the hardest role to fill would be director. I always thought Brad Bird would be great for a Star Wars film & an Indy film. Felt that way since MI:4.

I think Chris would be a fantastic Indy for every thing but the class scenes. You don’t really buy him as a bookish professor but he is a great actor and could do it. Agree Gosling would be great. As would Glen Powell. Never saw Bradley.

It was always Pratt. I was at lunch with an actor friend. We ran into Chris. I knew him a little thru friends. He had just been cast in JW. My friend said you will think Im crazy but Chris could be Indy. I said idk I don’t see it. Then after Guardians I was like he is right.
José David Ernand@Both_Coasts25

@TimothyDowling I haven’t thought of it much but I never saw Pratt - I think that came from “he did a good Solo type in GOTG, why not Indy?” I like Bradley Cooper (clicked when I saw him in a fedora in Nightmare Alley) or Gosling (good at comedy & in Blade Runner, combines both sides of Indy)

When Harrison clearly was around and wanted to do it. There was truth to the Pratt rumors. But I felt like do one more with Harrison then reboot with Pratt. Now 12 years later he is probably too old.

Agree and agree. Even as a kid. They said they were gonna do three. I figured Indy was like Bond and they would recast. I always thought Dennis Quaid around Innerspace would have made a good Indy. And am fine with it now that Harrison is done. I just didn’t want them to recast..
José David Ernand@Both_Coasts25

@TimothyDowling I think there was always an expectation that they were gonna pull a Bond with these. Frankly, I still expect them to try it one day. But till then, since the 5 came out so far apart & were made by the same folks, they feel a little more special for it & I don’t mind that at all.

@katie_campione @BittrScrptReadr There have been plenty of shows I’ve lost interest in. And you know what the answer is? Stop watching and move on. That’s it. Not wishing for people to lose their jobs. And certainly not wanting to deprive the people who do like it or see something important in it from having it.

People are always complaining that TV series are too short now, and then finally a series (led by phenomenal, young, Black talent, no less) makes it to seven seasons and we're complaining. We should be wanting to see more shows like this win, not tearing them down.
