@gomedia91 @Chasmeister There are also those that are just rich enough to not give a fuck. Or properties tied up in estates noone has the control over. Either way a massive shame. If I could "own" any of my properties it would be in my interest to improve them and make them better properties

@gomedia91 @Chasmeister Because they can raise finance.. and cash flow on let properties pays borrowing. It's all an asset / cashflow ponzi scheme. This is why soo many buy to let landlords got screwed as borrowing and defaulting tenants went up. They didn't have "mass" to ride it out

Always hoped the pair of shops opposite The Albany pub would be kept as businesses. Turn that junction, right in heart of the area, into a little community hub. 4 shop units right on a busy corner that could be real local assets. Instead, we just crammed another HMO bedroom in.

@burntbasqueblog Funnily enough I had a very, very unexceptional meal out on Saturday. Imagine my surprise to see the same venue praised to the skies 24h later by the Freebie Posse. Time people woke the fuck up.

Whatever this style is called (boxes w/ obnoxious, loud, cheap cladding arranged in a way to give you a migraine & every window misaligned) that has been popular for the last 15 years or so. Can we stop? Seems its fading out in favour of brick, but Cardiff is still building it.

@BottleShopDan Could not agree more. Like a well-designed restaurant, but when it comes down to it, give me a back to basics South Kitchen, Lahore (even the former version!) or most relevantly a Malai Thai. Flavour over flounce, skills over selfies.
