It's not just the judiciary that Hezbollah & co are after They have looked to key ministries like Public Works due to receive $$ for projects and the Finance Ministry allowing them to negotiate on reforms More on that here in my latest w/ @MiddleEastInst mei.edu/publications/w…

The growing wave of online anti-Armenian hate - if not confronted aggressively - will metastasize across the internet, normalizing the dehumanization of Armenians and setting the stage for renewed anti-Armenian violence. Below: A sample of posts by @BaghirzadeAynur - a practicing California attorney licensed by @StateBarCA: -- Deleting the Armenia project x.com/baghirzadeaynu… x.com/baghirzadeaynu… x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "I think it’s clear that we have to delete Armenian project as soon as possible. They are incapable to accept their own crimes and to apologize, the only language they understand is the language of force. Armenia has always bogged down the region, we have to get rid of it to move forward…We have to plan accordingly. We have to have our own project to join Armenia to us. I don’t know whether our leadership even thinks about it, all these peace talks will bring nothing except an opportunity for them to develop their own military and get diplomatic support…+ for future attacks. Armenia today is the only obstacle on our way to join the entire Turkic world and unite, we have to get rid of it. All these loud talks, their toxic diaspora, peace games - it will bring nothing to us except repetition of the same cycle of abuse and bloodshed." -- Genocide Denial: “You got what you deserved” x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Ottomans couldn’t genocide anybody. Ottomans were built on Islamic norms strictly against any racism and discrimination. They recognized both Christianity and Judaism as well as their prophets. The only 2 occasions when Ottomans could use power are war and treachery. In terms of Armenians it was both…Ottomans protected its statehood as any normal state. You got what you deserved… There was no genocide. Nobody killed you because you are Armenian, you were deported because you killed locals & betrayed government. Genocide is when one gets killed because of his ethnicity. You are in dead end." -- Denying Armenia’s existence x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "There is no such thing as Armenia, it’s part of the Turkic land occupied by Armenians whose only difference from Turks is their language." -- “Genocide” in quotes x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Nation that glorifies terrorists can't expect peace. The only outcome they will achieve is Caucasus without Armenia and crocodile tears about another "genocide." -- Armenia to be a province in Azerbaijan x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Armenia's future is to be a province of Azerbaijan." -- Relocate Armenia to Mars and cry about genocide x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "We will never be part of Armenia so it’s better for you to relocate to Mars or cry about another genocide…" -- Armenia is a threat and must be “reformed” x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Your daily reminder that #Armenia is a threat to South Caucasus. It’s a carcinoma that must be reformed up to its core to allow Caucasus to live peacefully and prosperously. #Armenianfascism" -- Armenia needs to be partitioned and reformed x.com/baghirzadeaynu… x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "I was right - with such mindset no peace is possible. Armenia has to be taken, partitioned and reformed up to its core as it was done with Germany after WWII, otherwise we risk to be trapped in endless war for generations…Well, eventually this is what will happen one day." -- Armenia’s place is the grave x.com/search?q=the%2… "The real territory of Armenia is Yerablur where all of you will find yourself if you don’t stop this b/s." -- Delete the word armenia from the map x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Well, to be honest I think the best response to this b/s would be making Armenia part of Azerbaijan and deleting word Armenia from the map. Let them cry more and adopt bunch of other useless resolutions, if they want." -- Armenia must be eliminated x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "If we create our Union before they will break up those countries and come to our borders that’s fine. But we have to be really quick in doing so. Armenia must be eliminated as another West project to crash us, in this case we don’t need a war with Israel now." -- Eradicating Armenia as it is a part of the West’s enslavement plans x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "No, I sound as a smart person who wants the best for the region. If not eradicated Armenia will become a huge headache for the region by promoting West’s enslavement plans - and it always was. Armenia was intentionally created on our lands with the same only purpose. Must go" -- Armenia should be a Turkish villayet x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Armenia has to be a Turkish villayet or vanish forever. There is no any other alternative for the little state surrounded by Turks." -- Armenia is a political project to colonize Turkic lands x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Remember we have to delete project Armenia before it’s too late It’s a political project to colonise Turkic/ Muslim lands in Caucasus and beyond. We shall avoid by all means to become another Middle East for the West." -- The demolition project has started x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Dear, nobody needs Armenia, and it is sad that you don't understand it. Sooner or later, you will be demolished - process has already started." -- “Soon there will be no Armenia” x.com/baghirzadeaynu… "Here we go. We think about taking revanche , we do not think about building normal relationship. Continue in this direction - soon there will be no Armenia."

Κυρ Αρίστος in Athens, 🇬🇷 is traditional food from Smyrna, Asia Minor (now Izmir 🇹🇷) Just like my family, many refugees from Smyrna ended up in Athens and bringing their delicious Anatolian food with them. Here you can see the similarities with modern Turkish cuisine.

One year ago, Azerbaijan began its 10-month-long humanitarian blockade of Artsakh — culminating in the ethnic cleansing of its entire indigenous Armenian population. A tragedy the world could’ve prevented — but enabled out of geopolitical expedience. Never again happened again.

The Greek Square in Alexandria, home to the community offices, the Greek school, retirement home, Consulate General, and Greek athletic club Enosi. Also the beautiful Greek community church of Evangelismos and the Greek cemetery where @CCavafy is buried. #greeceinegypt

Christianity in Nagorno-Karabakh has just been extinguished after 1,722 years. 120,000 Armenians have been ethnically cleansed in weeks. This followed a 9 month blockade resulting in massive shortages of electricity, fuel, food, and water which the world largely ignored. #Artsakh

The last photo of the last clergy of Dadivank. They arrived in Armenia on Oct. 1, 2023, marking that day the first time in 1722 years when no Armenian Christian prayer is heard in Artsakh / Nagorno-Karabakh. Before leaving the sacred monastery, they prayed for return.

Three years after Hagia Sophia’s conversion from a museum to a mosque, we pray for its restoration to a place that welcomes all people. Until then, we build the House of Wisdom in our hearts, where by love & forgiveness, we can always worship within the Great Church in our souls.

In 1922, the Huşartsan was taken down and lost to history. The cemetery was later seized by the municipality, and in 1939, it was destroyed along with the nearby church. In 1943, Gezi Park was built by French architect Henri Prost. The stairs were built from Armenian gravestones.

The arising in our hearts of love, compassion and mercy for everyone and everything is the sign that we are truly the children of the Resurrection. May this Pascha reveal to you this mystery of mysteries— this gateway to eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Χριστός Ανέστη!

#HolyThursday: The Lord’s first sermon from the Cross teaches us to forgive those that hurt us, for we are unable to see into their hearts, as so often we cannot even see into our own. Let us begin to forgive so that we may receive His forgiveness and live in the newness of life.

The Heroes of 1821 fought for the freedom of their lives and lands. They were inspired by the freedom of the Theotokos, who showed us the way to liberate our souls by accepting Christ into our inmost being. This is a cause for celebration every day.
