@jhabeeb1 I covered a show over 20 years ago at The Roxy with a young future IBF super middleweight champ Lucian Bute on the undercard. The main event featured Elvin Ayala. It was a intimate venue with great atmosphere!

A lot of shows were held in small venues on USA Tuesday Night Fights. One place that comes to mind is the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia. We used to have a place here in Boston called the Roxy. It was a nice, small venue and there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. The best thing about the Apex is that they don’t have to wait for an opening at an arena before scheduling fights because they have their own venue. Now they don’t have to wait for dates. When they want to put on a fight, they can stage it at the Apex and save a lot of money. Obviously they will still do big shows in major arenas, but the Apex gives them a place to keep their fighters active without having to wait for available slots at other venues.

@AdrianReyn79551 Why does this poster say WBC interim Jr welterweight title? First of all, the WBC doesn't use the term "Jr" for their titles. They use "super." Second of all, the title they are fighting for is not interim, it's full vacant WBC. Third of all, it's lightweight at 135.

In his first reign, his mandatory was to be a rematch with the guy from whom he won it- Mairis Briedis, he said no & was stripped.
