My thoughts on Tielemans. For the price & what it means for Carrick's vision to keep the ball & progress centrally I'm excited. I don't think he's as technically well rounded as people think, esp deeper or when under pressure. Mainoo rotation makes sense. Peak partner DM key now.

Santos helps Mainoo defensively whilst being an efficient passer and Mainoo helps him on the technical side, should help improve that 10–20% bit of control regarding their share of team's possession. The Brazilian is very good in both ground + aerial duels and times his tackles really well (an exceptional 88% success rate in the PL). Also, got an eye for goal (8 and 15 goal contributions for CFC & Strasbourg respectively in the last 2 seasons. They are both safe over risk-taking expansive passers which is not necessarily a bad trait for pivot players especially having a "10" in front of them. His data has barely dropped-off after moving to the PL, yes, he didn't start much ahead of seasoned 100m+ seniors in Caicedo, Enzo F but there is 1422 mins of data which is enough to analyse and compare v his Ligue un. This is different to the Mount situation, Santos is young and shows potential, on the rise and not someone declining from their peak.

@slbsn While that might be true, it’s not tenable for scouting departments at big clubs esp Manchester United to exclusively work in the inflated or academy markets. If you can’t regularly take punts on 20-35 million pound players that are 18-22, then why bother scouting just use FM.
