@AFoolforChrist You’ll never beat the devil as a nationalist bc Christ is not with you. Repent of that first then fight the devil.

@servantseeker1 @OnAncientPaths Good riddance. Nigs need to stick with their own. If you wanna join them, that’s your prerogative but those of us who are civilized don’t want to be inundated with their low IQ culture.

I’ve been Orthodox for 13 years now. I’ve been at my current parish for three or four years and love it there. But as it grows, I felt a twinge of fear there for the first time today. I’ve been married for 20 years and my family is multiracial, and based mostly on things I’ve seen here, I begin to worry about those coming through the doors who may hate or wish harm to me or my family. The feeling didn’t last long, and I know social media is not real life. But the witness of those claiming to be Orthodox here still affects people, especially as more people are becoming exposed to the faith for this first time in such spaces.

To be fair to a lot of EO priests, there parishes are growing at such a rapid rate that they can’t be expected to know what all their catechumens are doing online. The prob is in the structure. 98% of people are lay people and they are all leaning on the priest for accountability

@MaryAnd34247622 @OnAncientPaths Not at all. Hundred of years after his death one of the Wesleyan sects went deeply astray. There are several streams that consider John Wesley their spiritual father. You should stick to thinks you know about before speaking.

@servantseeker1 @OnAncientPaths Yes I'm fully aware of that. He was the founder with his brother, Charles, who started Methodism in the 1700s. First United Methodist is obviously a denomination from Methodism. But in general it's the same thing.

@MaryAnd34247622 @OnAncientPaths John Wesley did not start the UMC. He didn’t start any denomination. He led a revival within the Church of England that brought thousands if not millions to salvation. His followers took his methods and became known as Methodists. UMC Started centuries later. Ignorant you are.

@OnAncientPaths @servantseeker1 Don't believe him. He has John Wesley super fan with 2 followers. John Wesley is the founder of 1st United Methodist Church. The most liberal Church in the US that has transgender Bishops and gay clergy. He's lying. No one in any Orthodox Church said the word n***** 3x or ever

Justin Thomas was asked if there was an art to being the clubhouse leader. "I can tell you how there isn't, because it happened to me one time... Probably had four or five beers at lunch, and next thing you know... I'm still the leader in the clubhouse." 😂

Sorry, you have been in a largely ethnic religion for 13 years and didn't realize there was a huge tendency for ethno-centrism? Go to Georgia or Serbia and ask them how they feel about your marriage. Are these people not orthodox? This isn't about orthodoxy. This is about your petty political squabbles. Leave the faith out of it.

@MichelleDLesley Mainline churches are run by the members. If those people are there, they’re likely the people in charge. There isn’t some grand conspiracy. If the people didn’t want it, all mainline churches except Methodists can choose their pastors and also fire them.

I'm convinced that the reason these so-called "churches" are usually sparsely populated with elderly people is not that these people went *looking* for a "church" like this, found one, and joined it. These are people who have been members of these churches for the last 50 years and refused to leave - even when they should have - because they either don't know or don't care that Christ and His Word are being blasphemed. This is their social club, their friends, and they're not leaving. It's commendable to weather storms at your church, if, when the storm is over, the vessel is righted and sailing is smooth and biblical. But when the Titanic hits an ice berg and is taking on water, it's time to abandon ship. These people are about 25 years late to the lifeboats and don't know or care that they're sinking.

A story in two pictures: church sings The Lion King's 'Circle of Life' for 'worship' 'Some say, "Eat or be eaten" Some say, "Live and let live" But all are agreed as they join the stampede You should never take more than you give In the circle of life It's the wheel of fortune It's the leap of faith It's the band of hope'

@OnAncientPaths Felt the same exact way. I was an inquirer with an honest heart. I used to be a Protestant missionary and was dating a woman of God from the DR. At coffee hour I heard the n word said 3x by young men and the priest didn’t blink an eye or correct.I knew I had to leave then. (Cont)

@servantseeker1 @EthanWayne2001 Just like Christ we do both. If calling out the “sons of the devil”, the “syn4gôgue of satan”, the “brood of vipers” excludes love, then Christ didn't love. Loving God means loving the Truth. I reject your marxist definition of hate. Fk u btw!

The most important issue facing Orthodoxy in America by far is the politicized takeover from a certain cohort of radical converts. We cannot allow the gospel to be diluted with third rate reactionary politics masquerading as “the ancient faith.” This moment is not ancient, it isn’t even Christian. It’s some bizarre social-psychological phenomenon and attempt to appropriate Orthodoxy to the end of inane political posturing. And clergy must be clear that we won’t accept it. We won’t let Orthodoxy be corrupted with such insanity. We will be open about it both online and in the parish. And we won’t passively acquiesce as orthobros begin their reign of terror over parish life. No more excuses for their depraved, psychotic behavior.

Traveling really isn’t that impressive. It’s not hard to do. You just go to an airport and get on a plane. It’s not a big accomplishment. Then you go somewhere and you have no responsibilities or obligations and just wander around and so of course it’s pleasurable enough. Traveling is fine. I’ve been to about 45 countries. But it’s not worth making big sacrifices for or delaying real life more than a year or two or anything like that.

@servantseeker1 One of the most genuinely heart warming conversations I had was how one did tell me he used to be involved in “orthodox discord” but basically as soon as he started attending he realised how horrific it was and how he was sinning and repented

All the young male converts and catechumens at my parish are delightful wonderful people, which seems to be most people’s experience. As far as I can tell most of today’s discourse is being driven by internet-only larpers who never attend a parish

"I ate in a calorie deficit but didn't lose weight." No, you did not. Jeremy Ethier ran a small metabolism experiment using astronaut-grade accuracy. What he found was that out of 9 people, not one had a fast or slow metabolism. Everyone burned almost exactly what their body weight predicted. The most interesting part he found was that most people underestimated how much they ate by 500–1,000+ calories a day. A skinny guy who couldn't gain weight guessed 2,000. He was actually eating 3,300. An overweight girl who wanted to lose weight guessed 1,800. She was at 3,000. Not one had an abnormal metabolism. Every single one had a tracking problem. Studies actually show people underestimate their daily calorie intake by 20–50%, with the gap widest among those who need accuracy most. People are not broken, but their tracking is. Fix that and the math takes care of itself.

Ben, Luigi, or whatever he is calling himself these days is an utter joke. The Orthodox Christian faith wasn’t interesting enough for him, so he decided to appropriate Orthodoxy to promote his bottom of the barrel political trash. The man is a clown, and only incel losers and groyper psychos take him seriously. Stop trying to steal Orthodoxy and make it into the vehicle for your stupid political career, you child.

@EthanWayne2001 Went to another parish led by a monk claiming to be starting a monestary. Got there and he’d built a small chapel and he was living in a camper and there was a trailer on site. Whole time at coffee hour they talked about Jews & conspiracy theories. This was in tn.

@EthanWayne2001 Prob is a lot of priests are in on it. I was once at coffee hour at a small parish and 3 bros said the Greeks supported f*gs and “n-words” were getting away with anything in the local town. The priests laughed and added a certain sect in Ukraine was heretical and hell bound.
