Absolutely superb stuff from Simon Jordan on talkSPORT earlier today regarding the situation at #NUFC - effectively calling on our owners to actually do something instead of letting the CEO build our hopes up in interviews without backing up his words 👏🏽 @Sjopinion10

@jonmikesav8 Do you think Radcliffe spends 100m on a player turning 29 next season, there's you answer 😉

Christ Newcastle twerked like cheap pole dancers for Mbuemo Cunha and Sesko. Can you imagine the meltdown if we take Guimaraes off them? 😂

We’ve gone from “why the hell would Mbeumo, Cunha & Sesko choose Man Utd over Newcastle - they’re 15th and irrelevant!” to “omg Man Utd could sign our 2 best midfielders” in less than a year Life comes at you fast

@ahtalksfutbol @bennufc_18 @RegistaCall Totally comparable, Newcastle got 125m for Isak, Bruno is our best player, no way we'd sell our club captain for less than 100m in todays market. I can't see Man U paying 100m or anything close for a player turning 29 next season. You have seen Radcliffe in action by now 😂

@Brady1892 @bennufc_18 @RegistaCall yeah because Isaks one of the most complete striker profiles on the planet, not to mention he still had 3 years left on his deal and is only 26 or so Bruno G is 28, he’s getting on he wants to play for a big club wether it’s us or someone else Not remotely comparable

@ahtalksfutbol @bennufc_18 @RegistaCall Sorry mate, that's absolute nonsense. Isak pushed his way out and Liverpool still paid 125m. Bruno would never push his way out, and Man U would never pay 100m for a player who is 29 next season. Newcastle wouldn't sell their captain for less than 100m , bless you😂😂

@mikepitt84 That's why the next few years are not gonna be what some fans expect, because no team gets it right every year in the transfer market and not only are we are spending less then the top teams, we'll have to shop in the cheaper pool, and hope we hit gold. No guarantees

@Brady1892 Problem is we can’t afford them mistakes, them above us in the Money League can go again, Like ManU… 15th last season… this year prob CL after another spend up. We have to be perfect. Just hope we haven’t lest ourselves with too much to do this summer

I’m not saying I believe it about Bruno… but if it’s true… HOWE needs totake full responsibility for last summer. A cup win & CL football was achieved, 250m available to spend… & it was an horrendous window. We had a chance to add to what we had…. #NUFC

@mikepitt84 I agree, last summer was the first window where it went wrong badly. Lost Isak and all those goals, rejected across the board and signed a pair of strikers that aren't an upgrade on Gordon through the middle. Problem is top teams are now going for B list players as well

@mikepitt84 No player is picking Newcastle over Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool right now. That's a fact, the manager doesn't come into it. Most managers last 2 years. Until we have a wage budget that allows us compete every year, we're in the pot as Villa, Forest, Everton and Spurs

@Brady1892 Then that’s an issue too. Why don’t these players want to sign for Howe? If it’s wages… we need to know this before waiting for them. My argument is…you can’t go from Mbuembo to Elanga!

@japangeordie @Firephilo That's not on Howe or the players though is it? They've done ridiculously well over the last 4 years, certainly overachieved. Talk is cheap from the owners, you can't say challenge for the biggest trophies with the 8th biggest wage. That's a circle that can't be squared

@Firephilo I’m the fan that’s absolutely gutted at the second half I saw. People on here keep saying we should be grateful of what we have achieved so far. However that’s hard when you have owners and the people in charge saying we will be winning Prem and CL by 2030…

On twitter I see 3 types of fans. Fans blaming officials, fans blaming Howe and then proper fans who understand we just don’t have the players to compete.

Rosenior getting hammered by the British media at min. Howe isn’t getting shit after dropping £700m and getting beat 7-2 😅 Pep is getting away with it despite having a horror show domestically and in CL despite dropping over £500m in two windows.

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case. Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game. I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others. That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.

In the space of 4 years since the takeover the club have seen 2 Top 5 finishes, 2 Cup Finals, 1 Cup Win, 2 Champions League campaigns, 1st ever time in the Champions League Knockout stages. Beating PSG, Benfica, Bilbao & Outplaying Barcelona at St James’ Park. The exit last night hurts, for Fans, Players, coaches & the owners. Newcastle United have come a long way in a short space of time. Let’s look to the future! #NUFC #UCL

🚨| Sandro Tonali's and Bruno Guimarães' respective camps are fighting AGAINST each other by making their availability known. Both players are aware that if ONE leaves, the other WON'T, so they are TRYING to get a potential move in place before the other does [@JacobsBen/@UnitedStandMUFC]

@TheVocalHero If we have the 8th biggest wage in 2 years time, that's your question answered, because for all the hysteria and big promises, you have a definite ceiling with the 8th biggest wage

We've hit the ceiling of what the "plucky underdogs" can do, I'm afraid. With CL unlikely next year, PIF seriously need to think whether they have the stones to take us to the upper echelons. Stadium, Howe, infrastructure. Big decisions to be made if we want to be truly elite.

@deeprossed @donhutch4 😂😂😂😂 You mean serial PL Champions with a top squad haven't had to go spending big because they already had a top squad and we started with a squad that battled relegation. You forgot to add we have the 8th biggest wage in the division 😂😂😂

@donhutch4 we have a higher net spend than manchester city since 2021, psr is not an excuse for the failings of this season, everything falls down to the managers tactics and recruitment

@donhutch4 I thought the Saudi owners would have had plans for this within 12 months of taking over. It’s the only way they will be able to seriously compete. Is there a reason it’s taking them so long to get it done?
