@FrankTown You could also try asking Grok for the 2026 results and not for the 2024 results which you shared.

Talarico winning in Texas is no fantasy. He's polling better than any Dem Senate nominee at this point since 2002. Unlike O'Rourke in 2018, Talarico's ahead now. Paxton's much less popular than Cruz was. Trump is less popular now than in 2018. The GOP is right to be scared.

@FrankTown You really need to double check your sources because your numbers are wrong. A little over 150K more people voted in the TX Dem Senate primary than in the TX Republican primary in March.

@BradyHeat In the run off March 2026, Rs outperformed Ds by 7 points. 1.3 million votes. Run offs typical favor the party not in charge. Texas has only pushed further red. 🤷‍♂️

@FrankTown Cruz won his election in 2018 by just over 200K votes. Paxton is a lot less popular than Cruz. The economy is worse now than in 2018 and Trump is not on the ballot. Paxton is in a world of trouble.

@ForecasterEnten Trump won Texas by 1.6 million votes. Since then Texas has only added R voters. Paxton is 4-0 in elections and won the soundly. Since Cruz, the map only did this. Not to mention, the “maga” base ie scott pressler and minions will push Paxton hard to be sure of it.

@davidslosttt Kansas is at least one if not two shades too red. It’s definitely the sleeper state in a big Dem wave this year given the likely electorate and the state’s leftward drift.

Here's what the race for the Senate looks like in a D+10 year now that Ken Paxton is very likely to advance to the general election The Democrats flip Alaska, Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, and Maine, while Iowa and Florida are very competitive

@twizzyu If Kansas Dems cannot field candidates in all of the state's urban districts, they deserve to be subject to a Republican super majority. They could learn a lot from their state party neighbors to the north.

Trump appears to have gotten his DOJ to create a provision that prevents the IRS from ever investigating claims against Trump's past, present, or future tax fraud: "The United States RELEASES, WAIVES, ACQUITS, and FOREVER DISCHARGES each of the Plaintiffs from, and is hereby FOREVER BARRED and PRECLUDED from prosecuting or pursuing, any and all claims."

Dems are always concerned about the optics of the party rallying around one candidate in a contested primary but Republicans have no such misgivings. Trump gets to decide primaries before a single vote is cast.

The terms of Trump's slush fund appear to transfer control of $1.8 billion outside of US government entirely. That seems to circumvent Congress completely and put the payments to "victims" of 'weaponization" beyond any congressional oversight or constitutional/legal constraints.
. tweet media
.@GregTSargent

Unreal. Now that Trump dropped IRS lawsuit, DOJ just announced new slush fund for alleged victims of "weaponization." So: *Will there be *any* congressional oversight? Most reporting suggests not. *Would payments to J6ers violate 14A? Raskin explains: newrepublic.com/article/210521…

@kenklippenstein What are Republicans going to say and do in 2029 when Trump is no longer in office? His absence could create an interesting vacuum in the party.

@admcrlsn When does Trump's influence on Republican voters begin to wane? After this year's November elections? Or during the primary elections in '28? Or 1/20/2029? Or never?

Yeah stick a fork in it. John Fleming will advance to the runoff with Julia Letlow Incumbent Sen. and physician Bill Cassidy — who voted to impeach Trump and later voted to confirm RFK Jr. as HHS Secretary in an attempt to get back in his good graces — loses his re-election bid
Adam Carlson tweet media
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

Cassidy is within 7,000 votes of Fleming now, but he’s running out of places to gain votes on him. If Caddo Parish (Shreveport) comes in as expected, Fleming should be fine.

@bresreports Wouldn't these trades be considered personal acts and not official duties and thus not subject to the immunity SCOTUS gave him. The DOJ in 2029 should definitely prosecute him.
