I reminded our guys at the Varsity game that it doesn’t matter what a team looks like or asking the question if they are good, but to ask yourself did I prepare enough! Love how this popped up this morning on twitter! @MPCAthletics
The Winning Difference@thewinningdiff1

"Every player should not be focused on who they are playing against, relative to their motivation, but every player should want to be the best player that they can be. That's how you get good - that's how you develop the right habits - that's how you're consistent." #RollTide

Love this! Truth! Today is over, learn from it, get better, make the correct adjustments, be coachable, and get ready for a new day!
Clint Hurdle@ClintHurdle13

During one of the worst losing streaks of my career, our team president walked into my office. Keli McGregor. One of the best men I've ever known. He could have come to vent. To question my decisions. To ask hard questions. Instead, he said: "Cut to the chase, Clint. What's next?" I looked him in the eye and gave him two words: "Shower well." The Colorado Rockies were struggling badly that year. Pregame preparation was solid. Scout meetings, early work, attention to detail. All of it was there. But at game time, the tires were flat. I told Keli: the game did everything it could to us today. We just couldn't meet its demands. Now it was time to reset. "Shower well" means exactly this: • Watch the frustration circle down the drain • Shampoo, rinse, repeat and get the grime of today completely off your mind • Walk out clean, go home, and actually rest Leave it at the ballpark. The game is over. There's nothing left to solve tonight. Keli nodded. Asked if he could share it with the whole organization. I said sure. And then it hit me. This isn't just for baseball. Bad day at the office. Grumpy boss. Missed deadline. Traffic on the way home. You can carry all of that through your front door. Or you can shower well. I've never seen a single problem get better because someone dragged it home with them. The reset is a discipline. Same as preparation. Same as showing up. Either we win. Or we learn. The only real loss? When you don't take a single thing out of a hard day. So tonight, whatever kind of day it was, shower well. Tomorrow is a new at-bat. What does your reset look like? I'd love to hear it.

Data can help, but being a competitor is more important! Totally agree! I want a warrior who never quits, never gives up, driving to a goal, and bringing other guys on the bus!

Fascinating discussion from #Texas baseball coach Jim Schlossangle today about players balancing analytics. "Anybody that's super data hungry probably is not a good player. It's way more about being a competitor." #HookEm | @KXAN_News

@Coach_MikeRoby Two stud players who gave their all when here at CHS. More importantly two men who know Jesus, and lead other players the way Jesus would want to build men!

One of the great honors of my career! Thank you @ABCA1945 for the opportunity to share insights into our program and hopefully provide nuggets for others to get better. Never would have dreamed this, but grateful and excited for the future! The BEST is yet to come!

So grateful for both my parents and their 60 yrs of marriage—and especially for my Mom who passed away 9-yrs ago today. Thankful for her motherly love, guidance, and spiritual legacy she left in my life. She’s greatly missed! However I’ll see her and my father again one day. ♥️

Joints can generate energy via concentric muscle contraction, absorb energy through eccentric muscle loading, or transfer energy by passing it from one segment to the next. Power partitioning theory lets us separate these three functions mathematically. 4/n
