Mehdi, we have known each other awhile. And even tho we disagree big time on all things Middle East, I’ve always respected you. You saw a poll that showed Stevens up on El-Sayed by 7pts, and you reflexively attributed it solely to AIPAC. Just AIPAC. So I took a very gentle, humorous shot at you. Are you an antisemite? Only you know why you believe the ONLY reason Stevens could possibly be winning is bcuz of AIPAC (the Jews). Only you know why you way too often reflexively blame AIPAC when your candidates lose. And btw Mehdi, I would never call you a piece of shit. But bcuz I disagree with you on whether Israel is committing genocide, you call me a “genocide-supporting piece of shit?” Really Mehdi? Just bcuz we disagree on an issue. Be better than that. Thanks
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

Hi @WalshFreedom. We have know each other a while and you called me a friend. So for you to accuse me of antisemitism simply because I pointed out AIPAC has spent millions on this race against El-Sayed is pretty disgusting. You really are a genocide-supporting POS, aren’t you?

China “accessing voter data” could literally mean nine million things. Did some hacker get access to voter rolls and see who was registered to vote in New Jersey? That doesn’t actually mean anything about the elections was insecure unless the state’s data or actual votes were corrupted. And China “meddling” sure sounds a lot like Russia “meddling” which we now know was basically fake Facebook groups. AND if this is actually true why is Trump warming so much on China right now? Not a lick of this tells us anything.
Jennifer Jacobs@JenniferJJacobs

BREAKING via @CBSNews: Part of Trump's speech Thursday night will touch on previously unreported Chinese meddling in U.S. elections, sources told me. Some evidence shows Beijing compromised U.S. voter data -- and evidence the CIA knew about the action and didn't share that information with Trump during his first term, per sources. Cabinet officials are expected to be in the audience during his remarks. Among those invited are the heads of CIA, FBI, ODNI and DHS, as well as other agencies and staff. Some cabinet members will not be there due to scheduling conflicts, I'm told.

Yesterday Susan Collins announced she had talked to Sec. Mullin and was “encouraged” that ICE was ceasing vehicle stops after the agents she funded murdered a Maine resident. Today Trump says the stops are back on. Assume she will be “concerned” & do nothing. Will monitor.
Sen. Susan Collins@SenatorCollins

I spoke with DHS Secretary Mullin last night and urged him to cease all non-urgent vehicle stops in the wake of yesterday’s deadly Biddeford shooting. I am encouraged that the Department has agreed to do so. An impartial investigation into the shooting in Biddeford needs to proceed, as the details surrounding this tragedy are important. It is extremely unfortunate that the agent involved did not have a body-worn camera. In April, measures that I authored in the Homeland Security funding bill became law, including $20 million for expanded use of body-worn cameras, $2 million for de-escalation training, and a 17% increase in the independent Office of Inspector General’s budget to investigate matters such as this shooting. The Democratic government shutdown delayed enactment and implementation of these important safety measures. While it is clear ICE needs to improve its performance, it is important to remember that the work ICE does to protect our country goes far beyond immigration enforcement. ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is tasked with combating cartels, human smuggling, child exploitation, forced labor, and more. Eliminating ICE would make our country less safe and endanger the lives and welfare of countless individuals.

Sen. McConnell’s office released a photo in an effort to answer questions about his health, showing what appears to be him holding The Post’s July 12 Sports section. We reviewed metadata that shows the photo was taken July 12. An independent digital forensics expert also said there appeared to be no evidence that the image is fake. wapo.st/4fyZdmy

For anyone excited by the latest (rehashed) fan fiction that Maduro helped rig tabulators for the 2020 election... A reminder that Georgia has paper ballots. You can't hack paper. And it counted those paper ballots 3 times. Once by hand. Each count yielded the same result.

HUGE: President Trump is allegedly planning to announce that both Senators from Georgia, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are ILLEGITIMATE due to election fraud, per sources from @DC_Reporter This could be massive.

@DrEricDing They didn't identify people with medical conditions (i.e. they weren't explicitly targeted as the headline implies). Their filters didn't consider that people on leave wouldn't have data in the system. It matters as it's the difference between stupidity and malfeasance.
