Sometimes Orthodoxy is presented online as just being based and masculine (it is) But there’s an entire framework for femininity by the female Faithful and Saints that shouldn’t be ignored.

@Snailswithsails @rushicrypto It's very odd how this is the one unifying thing that might finally bring the left and right back to some semblance of shared outrage. Having lived through 9/11, the feeling in the country right now is like the polar opposite of the aftermath of that. Keep fighting!

@fierceasymmetry @rushicrypto I'm married and I'm hoping as of this month potentially pregnant but I don't have kids yet. We're actively trying though, so I pray that if I can start a family that they inherit a world somehow better than ours.

@CTBridges0825 @rushicrypto Admittedly, since the Christian life is very new to me, I suppose I haven't fully "synchronized" what it means to have your actual life and sense of culture at stake, and to be expected to shake off such darkness in the world. It's new to me to live *truly* unafraid of death.

@SSSdutch @rushicrypto I'm glad you got my message and meaning - that's correct. Just for me, a very new Christian still, my default is to feel hopeless and worried easily. This is really hitting me, and during Lent too. But over time I will keep leaning in Christ and the hope of salvation!

@janvbear I love my parents and rarely get in disagreements with them. I'm very close to both my mom and dad. It has just been a struggle lately trying to help my mom understand what is happening in the world. She doesn't have an Orthodox framework either. Definitely a challenge.

@Kastomere Oh, wow. Excellent thought. It's been a large part of my shedding my pre-Christian self. I have stopped doing certain hobbies, stopped associating with certain people, etc. And that ego death is very painful, yet it is what is called of us to be transformed in Christ.

It short circuits them to be critical.

@VadeadIesum I pay $11 a month for X Premium aka I pay money to make my anxiety worse. Particularly bad during Lent, and I feel this is no surprise because our enemies have no concern for this holy period. This weekend I'm going to send some last few messages and then detach for a while.

I know as Orthodox Christians we aren't meant to put much stock in dreams, but I woke up with such dread. This war is psychically damaging me. I dreamt my church was having a meeting, & someone hacked into our Google Sheet & started typing the names of parishioners they'd kill.
