@bobpockrass If NASCAR wants to keep stage breaks at the plate tracks, keep the teams guessing and don't announce when the stage breaks will happen until within 5 laps of throwing the caution.

-Talladega first stage will be longer than final two stages to try to mitigate the fuel-mileage incentives. Final two stages won't require a fuel stop. Stage lengths TBD.
-preseason test at Daytona in January to change power levels & spoiler to see impact.

He acknowledged TV needs commercials during the cautions to run a business, but "to me, it's hurting the watching experience."

Heather Gibbs has finished her testimony. She told an emotional story of how she got involved in JGR ownership after her husband Coy “didn’t wake up” in Phoenix. JGR did not want to sign the charter agreement but felt forced because Steve O’Donnell told Dave Alpern they would lose their charters if they didn’t sign. “Don’t do this to us!” Joe Gibbs pleaded with Jim France, per Heather Gibbs. Jim’s response was he was done negotiating: “If I wake up and I have 20 charters, I have 20. If I have 30, I have 30.” Heather felt NASCAR “held a gun to the head and if you don’t sign it, everything is gone” — including her family’s legacy.

11/12/25 northern lights from Columbus Nebraska.
It was a zoo out there with lots of people looking for the lights and not nearly as bright as last night so I didn’t stay out long. I wish I had used this lens last night.
