So I received my salary of about $2,049 yesterday. When my salary came in, I immediately paid my credit card debt of $1,393. So I told my sister that in a span of 11 minutes, my entire $2,049 salary was gone, mostly from paying off debts and buying things I had long needed. But instead of understanding, my sister reported it to my mother, saying I “wasted” the $2,049 in 11 minutes, as if I went to a luxury mall and bought a designer bag. I explained that the $2,049 was already allocated before it even reached me. It was just received, but it had long been earmarked for payments. However, my sister, possibly out of envy and wanting to make me look bad, pretended not to understand and insisted on telling my mother that I wasted it in 11 minutes. She seemed determined to make herself look better. I think my sister is jealous because she feels like I’m the one who is loved more by our mother and others during reunions. But I work hard, I’m honest, and I’m respectful, while she tends to focus more on attitude and drama. She wants to make me look bad so she can appear as the more favored one, especially when it comes to inheriting our parents’ 40 sqm row house. Time will tell.
