Hold up, you're being misleading with this first point. > "Shards are stored with independent providers, encrypted, and require your identity verification (IDV), Ledger device, and consent for decryption." These following two points prove that non of those requirements are technical controls but rather policy-based, which frankly doesn't account for much in this space. > "A minimum of two of the three fragments would be required for any jurisdiction to gain access to your wallet, and a court order would need to be obtained in at least two jurisdictions." > "Two of them would need to be recombined and decrypted with separate keys. Any order of this nature would realistically only ever be obtained in the most serious cases of criminality (such as where terrorist financing is suspected)." The fact is that using Ledger Recover ships your seed off-site, and exposes it to attacks that aren't possible without using the service. The next question is, are there any current versions of firmware that don't have the code/functions necessary for Ledger Recover? Side note, are you really saying that if a user loses their Ledger, that they can't access their backups?!

@MartinShkreli busy fucking my cousins rn

This is so insane. Beyond words. 8 out of the 9 migrants convicted for gang r*ping a German girI got spared jail time. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old German girI was sent to prison for saying "hateful remarks" about it. thepublica.com/germany-woman-…
