The mission of the education non-profit FIRST (@FIRSTweets) has always been close to our hearts at Apple. Last night, we celebrated all the organization has done to build a world where students everywhere can chase their passions and achieve their dreams.

Happy #BiketoWorkDay! You don't have to be a Lycra-wearing speedster to be a bike commuter. However you dress, however you ride, there are lots of ways you can make a commute to work (or just about anywhere) #bikepossible.

@forks_active Definitely a goal: find enough like minded individuals to kickstart some sort of local citizen active transportation advocacy group. The GF run Greenway/Bike/Ped group is great, but I’m learning there is a need for a more cohesive voice and push from us citizens.

I love a light dusting of snow in the bike lane overnight to prove that if you provide safe infrastructure people will ride their bikes in the winter.

My 14yo watched someone on the news saying we’re all in the same boat, and he sat bolt upright and said “No we’re not! We’re all in the same storm but we have different boats and some of them are crap.” I’ve worked in comms for years and never distilled a concept that well.

@SamKWEaster I run telephony equipment in Grand Forks. We’re seeing similar problems (no audio coming in from calls originating on Verizon devices outside the area). Likely a carrier outage or configuration problem.

Hello! I just discovered that my cell phone does not properly connect to 701 landlines. It doesn't ring, it just feeds me my own end of the call into my ear. People receiving my calls can hear my voice, but I can't hear them — just me. What is going on?
