Rehearsals are in full swing for our Mozart’s Jupiter concerts next week! Today we were rehearsing at @oldmuseum 🧡 We’ll be performing Mozart’s epic “Jupiter” symphony and his exquisite Sinfonia Concertante at @atqpac (Thursday) and @empire_theatre (Saturday)! 💕

“Hey guys” - is this an appropriate way for Uni students to address lecturers in emails? Me - I don’t like it. I don’t mind being addressed by my first name and I am fine with “Hi” (and tolerate “hey”). But “Hey guys” seems all too familiar and gendered. Thoughts?

@frindley Yes they were. Myself and a female colleague. It’s more the casual carelessness of the address, but I suspect I’m also being overly narked by something essentially harmless.

@pulseonapath @frindley What's good is that they feel autonomous enough to view you as colleagues and to therefore use a very informal salutation. You could say though that while you want them to develop into a colleague for comms like this "Dear" or "Hello" is less controversial. "Hey guys" sounds like
