So, last year I sold my Tesla stock in July when Elon went a little crazy after leaving DOGE for around $300/sh...I took the money and invested in Intel in Aug. People, said I was crazy or I was making a mistake. Tesla is up about 14% from that point, but my Intel stock is up about 140%. I think I made the right call....your results may vary.

It seems a lot of people haven’t accepted that we are likely down to two options with Iran: -a long, costly ground war or -a peace deal with a lot of crappy stuff in it Probably something that should have been considered BEFORE setting off. But here we are.

🚨🇺🇸 NATO's chief Rutte: "Nearly without exception, allies are doing everything the United States has asked." Strange thing to say when Spain closed its airspace, France blocked weapons flights, Italy denied Sigonella, and Austria denied overflights. x.com/clashreport/st…

@neoavatara Spain denied use of its airspace to US planes. It also denied used of joint operated air bases. Other NATO countries such as Italy did not follow Spain's example. These are roadblocks. This goes beyond refusing to help.

Ceasefire's barely 24 hours old, and Israel (our greatest ally) is already blowing it up, literally. Largest coordinated strike on Lebanon since the war began. But sure, another masterclass in negotiation from the guy who threatened to wipe out an entire civilization the day before. Stable genius stuff.

@MarioNawfal NATO appeasing their Muslim minorities over US interests deserves to be called out. These same countries are pushing for Palestinian statehood. Trump should recognize the independence movement of Catalonia and the Basque people. Seem to remember some leaders being jailed.

🇺🇸 The Trump administration is now cooking up a plan to punish NATO allies who were “unhelpful” during the Iran war. He went from “NATO is obsolete” to “NATO didn’t help me bomb Iran enough” to “time to punish the bad allies.” Trump's turning a military alliance into a middle-school popularity contest. Source: @WSJ

🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: FBI arrested a former U.S. Special Operations Command employee for leaking classified information to media. Trump warned he'd hunt down whoever leaked the missing pilot story... This may be the first consequence of that promise.

I’m not defending Swalwell, but I can’t help but wonder why now? Again, I’m glad it’s all coming out as the guy is a total skeeze and shouldn’t be in office in any capacity. But if this has gone on for years, why didn’t they stop him years ago? Why allow him to continue at all?
Bhavik Lathia@bhaviklathia

Hey, I just got off the phone with a trusted friend. This is real. Take it seriously. Eric Swallwell cannot be our nominee. There is going to be a lot more coming out soon. I can’t say more right now, but stay tuned.

If President Trump lets the Iranians charge a toll for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, then every time you fill up your car at the pump, you will put money straight in the pockets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This would be a humiliating disaster for the US.
Jonathan Karl@jonkarl

This morning, I asked President Trump if he’s okay with the Iranians charging a toll for all ships that go through the Strait of Hormuz, he told me there may be a Joint US-Iran venture to charge tolls: “We’re thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It’s a way of securing it — also securing it from lots of other people.” “It’s a beautiful thing”

So after all this: - The Iranian regime remains in place - The enriched uranium remains in place - Iran remains in control of the Strait of Hormuz, though it agrees to let ships through, for now - The US agrees to talks based on Iran’s terms, including an end to all sanctions and Iran gets to charge $2 million a ship for passage through the Strait, in perpetuity. - Meanwhile NATO is in ruins, the US and Israel are at odds, the Gulf States know they cannot depend on the US to protect them, etc etc etc “Another such victory and we are undone!”

I am thankful that we have a ceasefire.  It happened much faster than I expected and it was the right move.  But let’s be clear that this war ends (if the ceasefire holds) as a total strategic disaster. The scorecard  Nukes: Iran still has the HEU Proxies: no change or impact  Missile  and drones : Iran demonstrated its arsenal is sustainable and survivable under massive US and Israeli pressure.  Strait of Hormuz: Iran’s leverage to use it as a bargaining chip has dramatically increased. Regime: killed Khameini but his son is still in place and unless they collapse in the aftermath will probably be just as strong or stronger then when this started. US allies: totally screwed in the Gulf and horribly strained relations in Europe. Global economy: major damage.  Israel: will be even more globally isolated after this and no more secure.  Region: as unstable as ever requiring a greater US commitment. US capacity to be prepared for major contingencies in the IndoPacific set back for years. But at least we took out their navy and destroyed their useless Air Force 🤷‍♂️. An epic strategic disaster.

Not saying it's going to happen -- hope and pray it doesn't -- but it fits with his own personal escalatory spiral. He always does, in any situation, the worst possible thing, and nukes are the worst worst possible thing: the ultimate transgression.
Barry R McCaffrey@mccaffreyr3

This Trump language to permanently end Iranian civilization in one night seems to be code words for the use of nuclear weapons. Congress and the Supreme Court need to watch carefully. We are on the edge of a cliff.

Where will the bombs tonight be directed? At the power plants that keep their lights on. The decapitation strikes were a long shot, but at least they were novel. This strategy - using airpower against infrastructure - has been tried over and over since WW2. IT HAS NEVER WORKED.
Common Sense Conservative@CulturalAlien

@AlexBerenson Maybe he’s speaking to the regime in a language they understand. I doubt the Iranian people view this directed at them.
