Yesterday’s breakfast turned into something else rather quickly when Mr. Roboto by Styx came on over the HomePods. Read the post about where my mind went and why the song hit me so hard. loud.us/post/domo-arig…

The last time I wrote code was MS BASIC on a TI-99/4A. I was 11. It was 1987. I just shipped a full production SaaS app — React, TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, real-time streaming, Google OAuth, edge database. Every line written by AI. AI will take jobs. AI will also hand superpowers to people who learn to use it. Both are true. Check it out, completely free pulse.indexperfect.ai

Loud Interactive is uncoupling from AHREFs and SEM Rush over the next month. We will then only use their lowest-paid tier of service. Why? Because all our tools have used GSC data for our keyword research for over a year, the search volume number is the only metric we have hung on to. I don't find their numbers accurate enough to warrant the $2K monthly extra spend for their services (we spend more because we want Enterprise API level access). I highly recommend that other large and small SEO agencies follow us. Don't accept poor data at premium prices.

@Apple is there anyway around this? I truly have 5 children. You can Google me and verify this. It seems pretty discriminatory against large families to have a limit on the number of people allowed in the family. let me know bpayne@gmail.com

Hey, @LillyPulitzer see how my son isn't wearing any Lilly? It's because you don't offer any for his age/gender. You have to change that. You are ruining our photos. LOL cc @spicymarina

@schachin I think they should make a bigger deal about this. It might get the truly authoritative sources like NYT, CNN, etc. to be better about their link equity distribution. Would likely help the Internet as a whole.

@BrentDPayne Matt had always said that you should not do that but yes they've said it in the last year or so. Just makes you a better internet citizen if you're leaking out since I need that to discover their sites.

Did Google recently update that you should NOT nofollow every external link on your website? I feel most media/news sites and a LOT of popular content management systems nofollow everything. "Use nofollow only when you don't trust the source, and not for every external link on your site." developers.google.com/search/docs/cr…

@lilyraynyc @ahrefs I even had a talk about this for a couple of years on the speaking circuit. WGN-TV complained endlessly that they'd be the news van that showed up, spent the money to cover the story and when the Chicago Tribune picked up the story from WGN-TV (both Trib owned), they got f'd by G

@lilyraynyc @ahrefs This has been an issue since 2008. The only way we solved it across the 7 newspaper domains and the 70 TV station domains at Tribune was to force the syndicated version to LINK to the source version using the headline as the link AND still use the canonical.

Projected organic traffic (@ahrefs) to the original article (orange) vs. the Yahoo syndicated version of that article (with canonical to the source)

@RyanJones @searchliaison Exactly! Google is amazing at getting millions of small businesses to fix things that save Google (collectively) lots of money and yet deliver back to those business owners little to no reward for the money/time spent. It's gross.

Google said I need to fix my LCP issue - so I did. Wanna know how I fixed it? I removed the Google adsense ad. Can we please get Adsense to improve their ad serving formats @searchliaison

@elonmusk @elonmusk why did you design a two passenger cybercab? It’s completely impractical. 90% of the time we need an SUV when I call an @Uber to haul the family and our luggage to the airport. I don’t need the giant bus either. You made one too small the other too big. Why?

I mean, we even built a tool to help people submit content via the GSC API using GSC oAuth... that free tool is here: indexperfect.ai Even during development I never saw anything about how it's supposed to be for just events, live streams and job postings.

I was this many days old when I discovered the GSC URL indexing tool is supposed to only be for events, job postings and live stream content. @JohnMu I've used the "Request Indexing" tool almost daily for YEARS and never knew this. Why not state this purpose upon submission?
