This is the state of SEO now? Sigh. The second you stop paying it stops working. Why not spend your time and money on getting real users to find your site useful?

if anything, I bet SEOs will use this to mark AI content as human-written - and then label it as an EEAT best practice or something.

hot take: nobody is labeling AI content because they know their site visitors don't want it - but they don't care what their users want. They care about saving $$. their goal is to try to "trick" their users into thinking it's not AI content.

These wildfires are insane. it's damn near impossible to breathe outside right now in Metro Detroit. Softball games already cancelled, and it even smells smokey inside the house. It's a good think they keep saying climate change is a myth, because otherwise I'd be deeply worried about this.

@Scobleizer @Flock this is a very privileged and myopic take. I mean this in. a nice way, you need to get out of your bubble and go touch some grass dude. Bad shit happens, it's terrible - but a 24/7 police surveillance state is NOT a solution.

The anti-surveillance people are tearing down @Flock cameras. Meanwhile the technology exists to take everyone to the World Cup and let you stand next to the ref yelling at him. But that will never happen. Everyone would have to wear a pair of glasses. Except in Las Vegas. The guy who put the electronics in showed me 100 cameras around the field. And Unity put me on the ball in its labs. Cameras can solve crimes and gather evidence in a much fairer way. Spent two hours talking about this on a street corner in Barcelona with the main developer at a leading body camera company that many police officers tell me they love now after originally fearing them. They show who is guilty in arguments between citizens and police. But, OK, tear down the thing that keeps you safe from a serial killer. That sounds like great thinking. Am biting my tongue.
