This winter storm does have me thinking back on o Helene, and everything we went through with no power for 10 days, and no drinkable tap water for nearly two months. I’m nervous. Do you have any lessons learned from Helene that you’re putting into action now?

You want to see a glaring example of how some of mainstream media has totally lost its credibility, look at the drone story. They aren't even trying to get it right because the answers are not very exciting and you can't keep slapping the red button that is drawing audience. Also understanding any of it takes work. Same reporter that covered a dog show or a car crash yesterday is covering this today. It's bad. Really bad. And the UFO angle means they don't even have to take it seriously at all, which is an unfortunate thing we have seen forever.

Beware of garbage takes on the drone incursions. We have a huge problem. Spent many years building this case piece by piece when few else would touch it let alone actually work to understand it. Now everyone has the goods. Vast majority have no clue what they are saying. Just the new hot topic to latch onto. It’s the way it is in the modern info space. But be warned on this very complex and nuanced topic .

My parents live in Yancey County. Touristy Asheville is getting all of the attention but many surrounding communities have been absolutely devastated.
